So, from what I can gather, Microsoft believes Halo 3: ODST carries enough content to warrant a $60 price tag. From what I'm reading, that content contains the ODST campaign, the new firefight mode, 3 new maps, as well as all the previous maps, and a beta key to Halo: Reach.

Do you think it's worth it? If you're one of those who bought the previous map packs(As well as Halo Wars), do you think it's fair to pay the same price for content you've already purchased? Does the length of the campaign have any impact on the price, in your opinion?

Although not the best way to capitalize on Halo's fanbase for profit, I think it'd be nice if they compartmentalized features that could be individually purchased on Xbox Live, in addition with being able to buy the whole, physical package. (In that you'd be able to buy just the campaign/firefight if you wished).

What are your thoughts?

I have the map packs, HW LE, H3 Legendary Edition, and I'm getting the Limited Edition of Halo 3: ODST.

You know you're going to end up getting your mom to buy it anyway, so there's not really any reason for you to be complaining.

i woke a bit ago and my son was playing halo 3 he was on forge i saw at the bottom of the screen was a charge for 35 dollars is that real or not did he charge 35 bucks or is that justfor the in game

-NO RECUITMENT MESSAGES PLEASE

It is hugely overpriced for what you get. Especially since I've already forked out for 2 Heroic, 2 Legendary and 2 Mythic Map Packs (since I have 2 X-Boxes; my own, and my cheap-ass brothers) I feel robbed when I look at having to pay £40 for something of which I own part of already.

I feel a 1 disk variant with a Mythic Map Pack code would solve this problem, because frankly I don't need Halo 3 multiplayer again. Still it's not going to happen, and no doubt I will end up paying it anyway, which is what they want. Hell, if they don't make it split screen, I'll probably have to buy to copies of the game itself too.

Of course I'm going to get it. It's Halo. And I've been playing Halo since Halo: CE was released.

I feel the same way, paying for content that I have already bought sucks. But I'm sure they will say that it is a bonus and that your really paying for the ODST game. Anyone who has already bought all the maps will be getting ripped off when they buy ODST.

halo 2 still the best game in the series. long live halo 2.

Dam, I miss the old days playing halo 2 with my old brothers in arms. Thank you my old friends for giving me this account, I shall continue our legacy.

still 60$ just for a campgain expansion, with all the multiplayer maps. seems too much after i spent more than $30 just buying the heroic, legendary, and mythic maps. seems like a waste of money that i spent if they were gonna be added to halo3: odst.
