I hate dissing halo3 but it killed halo2. Halo 3 only sold so well because of halo 2. The game is good but inconsistent and mlg friendly. By inconsistent I mean tons of useless weapons, vehicles, and equipment (spiker, wraith, radar jam flare ect....) halo 2 utilized duel weilding not done in h3. Halo 2 was a hit with the big team and large team gameplay halo now is focusing on mlg which has nothing to do with the game bungie caters to mlg. Halo 1 on PC held 32 players now on the fourth installment unable to do so. Halo 2 revolutionized online gameplay halo 3 seems to be a confused child with lots of toys without any use for them with all the unused wep, equip, and vehicles. My guess is halo 2 team had left bungie or less to do with the game I hope reach returns the fundementals of halo and doesn't give mlg so much clout if u ask any true halo fan or good halo player they will all agree they miss halo 2

H:CE>H3>H2

That is of course just my opinion, but I guess I'm not a true Bungie fan if I don't love Halo 2 then.
O noez!

H:CE>Halo 2>Halo 3

Fixed.

OT: i dont think H3 "caters" to MLG... at all. in fact the others halos were both better (MLG Wise) for gameplay. Most MLG players will probably tell you they would rather be playing H1. OR H2. H3 is too teamwork oriented and doesnt give enough room for individual skill to shine, and dont get me started on the BR spread... or the AR start. Or the melee system. All epic fails. I think reach is gonna step it up.

I hope bungie sees that the people still around... still playing. Are pretty hardcore at this point, they know how to 4 shot, they know how to take domes and they want the game to feel like the game they fell in love with, H:CE. Fast-paced, Amazing starting wep (I think everyone would be happy if they included the ODST pistol in Reach, since its awesome) and most importantly, FUN!

I think they should take out radar too, but thats just my opinion :D

I said it was my opinion, you do know what that means right?

Also when you say fixed yet don't quote it doesn't really work...

we can all agree that halo 3 is still a bad a** game!

without it, we wouldn't still be on these forums talking about what else is new in the halo universe.

but i completely agree.

halo 3 < halo 2

Well you got it so i guess it did work. And my post was right after yours so why would i need to quote?

Seeing as there is a post in between mine and yours THIS TIME, i will quote, otherwise, unnecessary.

Also, poster above, knows whats good.... H2.

EDIT: I agree that H3 is still a badass game, i dont play anything else. If i could find my H2 disc i would probably hop on there from time to time. But H3 will suffice.

I dont want anyone to get the wrong idea... i love Halo... all halos. But since there is another one coming out i think its important that the community lets Bungie know what they think since were the ones playing this game for years to come. I think Reach has the potential to be the BEST halo game yet... only time will tell.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

Online Multiplayer Gaming

The simpler it is, the less there is to go wrong... (or break.)

But if the game had stayed as Halo:CE was, The general public would have complained even more than they do now.

Cries of "Halo is so old and boring, why don't Bungie do something about it."
"This sucks, want to play some GOW2, or COD4?" Would have been common place on forums. There may have been no H3:ODST, most certainly no Halo: Reach.

Instead Bungie evolved the game play, Some like it some do not. But it has taken us to where we are today. Surely that's a good thing?

When you look at the farce that was halo 2 i dont know how you can make this claim, all halo CE needed was live capability and a few new weapons, but no, we got the havock engine, flawed with glitches and superjumps, that were a nightmare to play against with a high ping.

Halo 3 was a step in the right direction, but all the BK's in halo 2 forced bungie into and invisible wall fest
