The Reach beta doesn't start until 2010.

i woke a bit ago and my son was playing halo 3 he was on forge i saw at the bottom of the screen was a charge for 35 dollars is that real or not did he charge 35 bucks or is that justfor the in game

-NO RECUITMENT MESSAGES PLEASE

The Halo Reach beta will activate when it's ready. People are already stipulating that it may be about March 2010 before it's complete.

ODST doesn't ship WITH the beta, it ships with an INVITATION to play the beta.

ohai...

Well, it said on the trailer that the beta will be on around 2010 time.. So thats more than a few months after ODST, which I think is the right choice.

I completely agree with this.

Haven't the Halo games come out in three year periods? It won't have even been two years and we'll have ODST! Then we only have to wait some months before Reach. Bungie's really cranking up the heat. We don't need to rush them. They know what they're doing far better than any of us. I say we just support them, let them do our thing, and show our appreciation for all their hard work.

I agree, it feels like they're spoiling us with the games coming out so soon.
I wouldn't really bother if the beta didn't come out for ages cause I'm gonna be busy with ODST and the many other games coming out at the end of this year.

bungie isn't cranking up the heat, they have been forced to spil by microsoft to sell machines.

When have bungie ever spilt the beans early? they always wait till the last possible minute, or until someone outside the circle "accedentally" tells the press.

While were at it THE ONLY REASON I BROUGHT CRACKDOWN was to play the beta, tho i thought it would have been avaliable not long after crackdowns release. In this instance we KNOW it wont be online till 2010

Perhaps I misunderstood the situation (or the results of it), but I was under the impression that since the split with Microsoft Bungie could make their own timetable.

all the split means is that bungie can make whatever game they want instead of microsoft telling them that they have to make halo
