Okay, first off let me start off by saying,
HALO REACH IS A PREQUEL! It is not halo 4. It is about
the spartans who fought during the fall of reach.
Basically before playing, you can get the jist of what happened by reading the fall
of reach halo book, and for those of you who don't like to read or spend money,
you can look up the plot summary on halopedia or wikipedia.
It is a prequel.
Now onto my thoughts.
For those of you who haven't beaten halo 3 on legendary, as seen after the credits, Master Chief survived and there was a mysterious blue planet behind his ship/pod and at the end of the scene the edge of the planet rotated around and was highlighted by a fierce blue of which many theories have been speculated. Now during the reach trailer at the end of the scene, the same blue effect happened at the edge of the planet. Obviously this is a link between the two, and I'm guessing the planet is reach at the end of Halo 3, and thats why it was blue, because the covenant, semi glassed the planet. (they didn't glass the whole planet because they wanted to retrieve an artifact that would increase the speed of slipspace jumps tenfold which was later destroyed when the chief was escaping from an asteroid by an odst who died destroying the artifact). So I'm guessing either it was a hint to the new prequel reach, and they're actually ending the series timespan at halo 3 (which I highly doubt) or its going to be a new game and chief is going to the underground shrine or something I don't know. Might do something to save the spartans trapped in the bubble with Dr.Halsey depending on public reactions to them in reach. So Bungie is either going to do four things:
1. Do new halo's after reach(they said they'd do no more halo games but obviously lied since they're doing reach) in which chief fights new enemy probably flood or discover forerunners I don't know.
2. Allow another microsoft company to do halo and start a new series which we would all love like halo.
3. Split up company and have a quarter due Reach expansions, a quarter work on new halo, a quarter work on new series, and a quarter work on developing transition to new console.
4. Start a 70's sitcom in which Bungie would use to control our minds and take over the world feasting on conquered brains and enslaving Rick Roll to do an never ending dance for their amusmant.
This is all speculation. Anything to add?
