I think it would be a great way to include them in the game as enemies without them screwing up the campaign. They could each be in their own scenario.

The Elite scenario would include Grunts, Hunters, Drones, Jackals and of course Elites. The Covenant would also use vehicles. I think the best place for the scenario would be something similar to the extraction point at the end of the Halo:CE level Halo.

The Flood scenario would include all Flood forms. although the ranged forms might need to be weaker. The level could be inspired from the Halo 3 level Cortana. Some of the flood would use weapons.

I think everyone wants to battle Elites and some people wish to fight the Flood. This is the only way this could happen. So what do you think?

Edit: I think there should be another scenario based off the level Halo from Halo 3. It will include the Flood and the Sentinels. Both as your enemies.

Edit 2:
Enemies for the Elite scenario.

In Firefight after 5 waves a Chieftain wave comes. Well in an Elite scenario that would not be possible. My idea is a wave containing Councilor Elites from Halo 2. Some of them would have Energy Swords, they would be like the Brute Chieftains. Others would have Fuel Rod Guns or dual Plasma Rifles(their accuracy would make up for the firepower of the Plasma Cannon), they would be like the War Chieftains.

Instead of Brute Stalkers we would see the Stealth Elites. They would use Plasma Rifles or Swords. Unlike previous Halo games though the Elite's Energy Sword will also be slightly invisible.

Instead of Jump Pack Brutes we will see Ranger Elites. They will use Plasma Rifles and Carbines.

They don't fit within the ODST story. I could see future versions of Firefight offering such, but not one based on ODST.

The ODSTs have fought both. Although it might be hard for them to beat the Flood.

So? Lets have fun. I don't care if it doesn't make sense as long as it has nothing to do with the story line

I don't mind Elites, although I think Brutes are easier to despise. I don't want flood, I've had 3 games with them, and I think they're repetitive. Which extraction point from Halo CE are you referring to? There's three extraction points, the final one depends on the order you extracted the marines.

Really? Well any of the would work but I was thinking the one with the huge boulders.

I really think that for Firefight the storyline need not apply. I'm happy fighting the Covenant, but I would also like to fight Elites, Flood, Sentinels. Not only that but I'd like to fight against unusual setups; Elites in Warthogs, Drones with PRs, Jackals with BRs, Brutes with Rocket Launchers etc.

I hadn't thought about it before, but that's actually a great idea!

The boulder extraction point is my 2nd favorite area, my first is the one with the three structures and tunnel connecting the smaller of the 2. I like the idea of having a throwback Firefight map.

Yeah, all three of them would make excellent locations for it.

Your friendly and eccentric Sangheili forum-poster. :)

Yeah, it would spice things up a bit.

I think it would be particularly awesome and great if, now and then when a particularly tough wave is coming, we receive a pelican of Marines to bolster our firepower. You know, bog standard marines with ARs and SMGs or something. Or Elites.

Nom nom nom. The possibilities are awesome.

I was actually going to make a topic about it. Since this would be the first Halo where you don't get to fight any Flood. Of course it would'nt make sense for Campaign but could be very interesting for Firefight. Since even those little headcrab looking things could be dangerous. And of course people have wanted to fight Elites again since Halo 3 came out. I agree that one area at the end of Halo:CE's Halo level would be a great spot. But yeah both of these should be included along with the ability to play a Spartan in firefight. Maybe earning a Spartan life for doing really well.

Good point. Hey Bungie! Could you also add life size Cheeze Burger Monsters? What about a talking crayon who shoots man eating colored bubbles? Or 12' tall bugs with 100 eyes!

I kidd... I kid... :)

Why mix things up? Firefight is about 4 ODST troops continuing the ODST campaign in a epic and never ending battle. Why add any other kind of bad guy which doesn't exist in the ODST story?

A brute with a machine gun turret or even a flamethrower would be awesome fun.

I think the Flood level should have a flamethrower, sure there heavy but Bungie lets ODSTs carry machine gun turrets.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Sounds good to me. I will shoot at anything.

I think this would work better as DLC, it may be to late to implement it into the game now.

i can understand the elits but the flood would be just for fun XD

  • 06.05.2009 11:57 AM PDT

Flood infection form+ODST=Combat form

As for the elites, now that brutes have full energy shields I don't see much of a point to fight the elites over the much more easily hatable brutes.

I don't think the Brutes have energy shields. They just have Power Armor.

Well if the flood was one there would be no infection forms because they can just infect odsts and marines in an instant
