What if, when we use Johnson in Firefight, and a new wave starts that drops Jackals, and we happen to be on a map with a courtyard... You know what I'm thinking?
... we got Jackals in the courtyard..
I've been watching the trailer and gameplay from E3, and I've noticed a very important part of the ODST missions has been ignored in every concept except the first cutscene.
The HEV drop pod.
I understand that the Rookie is stuck in one place for the whole story, but how can such an important object just be restricted to one cutscene? I understand that it's just the demo, and that we haven't seen the whole story yet, but the situation we're set up with makes another shot down from orbit a very slim chance. The HEV pod was the line between a ODST's life and death, shouldn't it have a more important role in the game?
Now for my point:
The HEV drop pod should be included in more aspects of the game. This is a longshot, but a controllable pod mission in the campaign would be a great addition. If not that, there should at least be more sightings of it.
Now if this can't be included in campaign, there's always firefight. You could start out firefight by dropping from orbit, and being able to decide where you want to land. And if you die you could be shot down from orbit again to your chosen destination, which would make more sense for reinforcements than an ODST just spawning there. If your shot down from orbit onto an enemy, it should cause damage.
I mean seriously, the HEV should be more of a part of this game, especially since its main characters are ODSTs.
