Now before saying "Oh Avatars are -blam!-, why would you want them in Halo: Reach?". Here me out. I have three ideas that can properly integrate Avatars.
1. Spectator Theater
Your Avatar loads up into a Theater looking area with Halo decor. You can walk around and look for the area you want to go. You notice an MLG section, Social Big Team Section, and a Double EXP section. Obviously there would be more rooms, but lets use these as examples. You ggo into the MLG room and find out thats it is an actual MLG game being played. You sit in one of the rows and have the option to follow the action like in Halo 3 Theater Mode sans the pausing or rewinding features or as a vertical view. The players can't see you, but you can see them.
This would also have the dual advantage of eye in the sky viewing. Say you have some friends watching your game, they can let you know about any traps the enemy has set up. Teamwork FTW!
2. The Next Generation Of File Shares, Shops
Tired of the Theater? Want some cool screens, map varients, or gametypes? Hope to the shop area and look at other gamers "File Share" Shops. Here Halo: Reach players can set up a virtual File Share that updates when they input new maps, gametypes, screens, and inf possible, armor varients or customized weapons. Of course during gameplay you can still lok at other players in-game FS, but still.
3. Armor For Your Avatar
If armor customization is possible in Halo: Reach, then what would be better than having your Avatar wear it? It wouldn't be an in-game deal, but maybe....nevermind. Now you can brag about having sweet armor when your pals brag about getting a T-SHirt at the future Avatar Store that wll supposedly come to the Marketplace.
SO what do you guys think? Does this sound cool? Any suggestions?
