Fantastic update Bungie never ceases to amaze. E3 2009 was great and the showcase of ODST gameplay was far better then I could have hope for. Giving each ODST it's own style, look, and personality is a very nice touch that will add something new. But the greatest part was how you guys manage to hold true to Halo gameplay, while keeping what we've seen so far, somehow alien and mysterious. Also really like how the story will flow through seamlessly in a new style of transition. On one end we have our Rookie and the other will be ODST stories of your fellow squad, WOW. Story has always been amazing for the Halo series, but this will take us through some great mysteries and experiences we never thought we could have had. Definite buy for this year and can't wait for 09-22-09
Halo Reach has been a long time coming and the trailer was Incredible. After watching that trailer, reading the entire book series takes on a whole new meaning. The Fall of Reach was by far one of my favorite books of all time. Just the shear depth and understanding that, where there is loss there can also be victory, blew my mind. After reading the book years ago I said to myself this would make one Amazing video game. Not too much is clear from the trailer and I will not try and spoil too much far anyone, but "Spartans in their prime and in squads," pretty much sums it up. Not to mention this was the largest loss the UNSC faced because the covenant came from nowhere. But enough on trying to figure out this story. Stories like this are the stuff of legend and they create worlds that we love to get lost in. Mix these types of in depth stories with great gameplay, multiplayer, community, and developers that care and love their games more than the fans do . . . This is a special connection that you have made with all of us and to the world and it shows in your success. You make the games and we'll buy them, I know this is a little long, but I really want you guys to know your are great at what you do and keeping on going toward world domination. Also the saying from this Halo Reach trailer Holds true to your fan base. This is "Sierra 295, we got Spartans on the Ground sir, We're not going anywhere . . ." So in closing, We are your fans we are always here and we're not going anywhere.
P.S. The Halo Reach Art really doesn't need an explanation it's a very well put together conceptual piece. But it is so well executed it will be my desktop for a while. Having a view from the orbit of planet Reach, then throw in a mix of a "spartan squad" on the illusive horizon is a great example of Bungie's Professional Art department. Great Work.
( hope to join you soon, but we'll see)
