We can bomb the world to pieces, but we can not bomb it to peace.

-Micheal Franti

Ok really, its on topic. What part of the trailer leads people to believe that Dare betrays the squad in the game?

Death to rank junkies.

I thought it was the part where Dare made them change course.

If that's all... well then people are going whack. If you're gonna assume that she's a traitor just cause she changed their course... well...

I mean she's an ONI S1 she's obviously gonna take em on a different mission.

It does seem suspicious that she would change course away from the ship, when that was their proposed objective to land on the covenant cruiser..

It's because everyone knows that everyone in ONI is a dip-blam!-.

Yeah, it would suspicious if she weren't an ONI S1. Also, she requested her squad specially from the Admiral so it kinda hints that she needed them on a separate ONI mission. She didn't just change their course randomly during the drop.

You mean other than the fact that it's entering slipspace and they aren't exactly prepared to be warped to an unknown location?

I think you're missing the point that they are changing positions before they realize it's going into slipspace, but I agree with what people are saying, but it's still suspicious imo, regardless of her rank.

I was in 5th grade. I popped in the Halo CE disc into the massive, clunky first generation Microsoft Xbox, and wrapped my small hands around the controller that was almost too big for me. Little did I know what I was getting into.

10+ years later, I still look up to my childhood hero, Master Chief, while everyone talks about He Man and Spongebob haha

Who knows?

If you've read the books, remember that ONI wanted to detect Sgt. Johnson because of his flood immunity, a one in a billion chance that they could fabricate a cure from it.

The circle is now complete.

There are far too many outlandish theories being posted lately.

I mean, Dare assassinating her squad; the SI killing them off; Dare working for the Covenant; the ODST's working for the Covenant? Seriously?

Yes, Dare has a mysterious, ulterior motive. And yes, ONI is known for being up to no good, but people are blowing this way out of proportion.

if knowledge is power and power corrupts, isn't knowledge therefore dangerous?

Haha well I guess it depends what viewpoint you see it from. I mean I agree that ONI does wayy too much propaganda but that's it. I mean ultimately they're trying to save humanity. Also, if you've read the books this kind of behaviour is normal for ONI people and even more so for an ONI S1.
