The Halo Reach Updates (improvements from halo 3).


Vehicles: Include ability to spawn in a vehicle. Imagine 4v4 banshees. You spawn in mid flight.

125% better splattering in vehicles

Mongoose: Self destruct ability. Tune up splatter capability. Tune up acceleration and drifting ability. 2 sticky grenades on the back of each mongoose. 7 seconds of smokescreen built in.

Warthog: Ability to scope in while in side seat (all vehicles). Its not like its incredibly easy to hit people in it anyways.

Hornet: Magnet that will pick up vehicles and transport them. Giant sentinel beam instead of machine gun on front. Optional fire bomb (like 5 or six firebomb grenades). Eject button. Active targeting system, NOT auto aim - I am referring to the system the missile pod uses, include that to spot targets, but the pilot still has to aim, no auto tracking or heat-seeking.

Banshee: Improved flight controls. Left trigger is thrust control, from 100% player movement to 1000% (fully clicked). Currently boost is like 700%.

Left thumbstick controls up and down angle, and left and right tilt. Right thumbstick controls left and right steering rudder, up and down controls banshee height boosters. Current dodging systems are good except the up and down dodges. Up dodge needs to be much more speedy, and a down dodge needs to feature something. Missile pod could feature more ammo to combat the new banshee.


(Weapons are currently perfect). Better missile warning system (one that tells you the direction of the missile, and beeps according to how close it is). Active targeting system, NOT auto aim - I am referring to the system the missile pod uses, include that to spot targets, but the pilot still has to aim, no auto tracking or heat-seeking.


Tank: Allow up to 3 players to sit on each side of the tank.

Warthog: Perfect. Include transport warthog that seats 5 in multiplayer.

Ghost: Slight increase in cannon strength.

Pelican: Flyable by a player. Optional turret on back. Glass floor? Spawn points inside that move with pelican - so that zombies can spawn inside then jump down onto map.


Maps and objects:

- Water. Imagine taking high ground, and copy and pasting it so that there were two high ground bases, opposite each other, with that section of water at the beach in-between them. Put a few mongoose-type boats, and a hornet on each map. Suddenly you have a very nice big team ravine map with a lake in the middle. Water needs to be more fully integrated into many of the maps. Sea-doo? Also, forgeable water level on every map.

- Weather. Fog, rain, snow, clouds. (regulates long range warfare - fog)
Time of day. Sunrise, noon, sunset, night.

-Open-able, close-able, and even lockable doors. Also, activate-able bridges. Elevators?

-More height to maps. Allows flying vehicles more freedom.

- Fusion Coils: - Credit to Hylebos. Need to be able to pick them up and carry them over your head (dangerous, I know), set them down, carry them in a vehicle, run with them, and throw them like a grenade or power drain. Think of all the infection traps and suicide bombings.

Ranking System & MM:
Use true skill BUT:

First of all, if you quit out and your team wins, it still should count as a loss for you (to combat boosting). EXP can never drop below zero (neg exp boosting). Also, implement maximum match again (to combat boosting), along with the mixed party/team of 4 system of matching people (where if you go in as a random you get matched with randoms) - for quit out boosting. A filter where you never get matched up with the same people more than once in a set of 5 games. (for circle boosting). Problem solved.

Stats: Make global heat-maps and map chart overviews with call out names viewable online. In stats section include player overviews of their highest skill in each playlist. Do NOT include k/d ratio. Include top 3 weapons of choice, and wheelman/vehicle kill counts.

Custom games finder: A lobby you go into that will seek you out a custom game based on your custom games count, area, type of game, or even party size.

HUD:

Player Status: Have a list of your team, and enemy teams service tags on each side of your screen. If the tags turn red, yellow, or green, this indicates dead, taking damage, or alive.

Shields: I loved the shield change from halo 2 to halo 3. However, It needs to be more color oriented. It should flash from yellow to orange to red, as you take damage. This way you don't actually have to look at your shields to see how many shots you can take. Color data is much quicker and easier for the mind to gather and interpret. Along with the shield beeping there would be a very nice combo.

Motion sensor: Having that little motion sensor is great, but it doesn't let you know when enemies show up on it. Granted, I don't like the idea of the motion sensor anyways...I think there should be an audible ping as to when enemies show up on it. Also, if you are not moving or crouched, an option should be available so that your motion sensor shuts down during this time.

Naming: You know when an enemy is running through a dark corridor....and the only reason you know he is there is because his name shows up in bright red letters above his head? Kinda ruins the stealthy sneaky aspect of this game. Especially in gametypes like team snipers. A solution would be to have their name tag show up only when they are taking damage.

Armor: More armor perms that affect hud style.

Customizeable weapons: New scopes (none that make guns more powerful or accurate), just in terms of HUD, like a look when you scope in, or substitute a 2x scope for a 3x (not improving actual accuracy of gun). Maybe a lazer sight or flashlight that can be equipped. Maybe a titanium sniper scope if you get a 50 in the playlist.

Custom games and options:

-Multiple gametypes should be able to be turned on at once. For instance you could turn on both territories and assault (carry the bomb into the territories and detonate).

-Ability to throw and catch oddball like a grenade.

-You could add a new team designation to territories, so that a team can be invincible in their own territory, but vulnerable in others. Divide the empty foundry using two territories, give everyone swords, and play a game of 2-flag.

-Team designation - based on color (9 of them, zombie color included). A whole new option that determines how many players are on each team at the beginning of a round, if the team you are on is the same each round - or if it changes, what weapons each team can use can use, health, which vehicles...etc.
-Team designation interaction. When you die what team do you switch to? - like infection, only with many more options avaliable. You could have 4 teams, and whatever team kills you, is the team you switch to. No switching can be activated for any team. Also, you could set which teams are allowed to kill which teams. (9 switches for each team, whether or not they are vulnerable to each team). How many lives do I get on this team, that team, total?

Also, we want separate respawn and initial spawn settings. (respawn settings currently dont affect your initial spawn)

With this the possibilities are endless.

Forge:

-An undo button.
-Auto-save?
-Lighting.
-Menu item systems. Items should be further categorized into "blocks", "walls", "ramps", etc.
-Left trigger variable boost speed. So that fast movement is actually possible.
-Item respawn AND de-spawn times.
-Grid-like floor that can be raised and lowered. Objects can be placed on it but once an object is placed the floor has no effect on it. (when grid-floor is turned on all placed objects become semi-transparent and do not affect the object you are holding - for merging objects) This is the equivalent of a lock in place feature, a merging tool, and a flag ground in the air - all in one.
-Include a switch that will make options locked in place or free moving during gameplay - no more defaults
-D-pad can be used for fine tuning (nudging an object left or right, up or down) when right trigger is pulled - otherwise it rotates an object 90 degrees from its spawn position. Up, down, left or right.
-When you grab an object it should not move.

Theater:

Ability to scene-select forward, and slo-mo/fast-mo backwards.
Render to video engine built in - save to hard drive or network.

Game Updates:

Ability to crouch low enough to duck beatdowns and such.
110% movement
110% damage
Ability to drop all weapons and have 2 fists.
Cloaking equipment. (you can carry it)
Kill cam optional.
Clan lists.
4-grenades

Weapons:

Needs balance and improvements - for another thread....
No More NERF guns!

Equipment needs to be re-thought. Bubble=good. Grav=good. Drains and regens=bad. IMPROVE TRIPMINE SO IT IS USEFUL.
(decrease weapon change speed to increase ability to combo your weapons)

This sounds familliar... wonder what sort of genius came up with that idea ;)

A good list, not sure if all of it is feasible, would need tons of balancing, but I think I'll come back and read it more completely when I have the time.

all your forge idas are good but fusin coils ida i dont think is practical i think as a last resort we shold be able to go camacasy with 2 plasmas or frag nades or any nades for the matr as for the trip mine it shold be more stelthy and do mor damage but as it is i use it as a super nade and get a kill evry time i get one

armor perm afecting hud styl sawnds awsom also evry armor shuld have sholders and chest
and ther shold be at least 15-to-20 armor sets and ther shold have a coler system mutch like solecalibars and i want BLACK!!! no more steel real black
