Master Chief's name is John 117. but as it turns out in the bible John 1 chapter 1 verse 7 is referring to god who destroyed all evil in the world so that we could "Believe". also believe is a major slogan in the advertising for halo 3. i think this is a cool fact and is interesting what influences the minds of the employees at Bungie.

i don't think so, john is a common name, with several backgrounds from different countries,my name in welsh is translated into john. but you never know.

i dont know. there are heaps of bible references in halo though. eg the ARK that saves us from the FLOOD. the covenant. there are tonnes more that i forget
