People often ask, Why is the halo series rated M? (Mature)
And the reply is most often, "Because of the flood,"

But in Halo 3:Odst, i dont remember hearing any reports of flood being in the game. So shouldnt this be rated T instead of M?

Yes, but the ESRB rates everything M unless it's a kid's game.

Two movies you should watch: Fight Club and Pineapple Express

"Wait. What do you mean, it's dead?"
"If marijuana is not legal within the next five years I have no faith left in humanity, period. Everyone likes smoking weed. They have for thousands of years. They're not going to stop anytime soon. You know? It makes everything better. Makes food taste better, makes music better. It makes sex feel better for God's sake. It makes -blam!- movies better you know?"

It'll more than likely still be rated M just because it's Halo. I know that sound's stupid but Bungie's Halo games and others have a rep for it and ESRB is too strict on their ratings and slip all the time (Banjo-Kazooie, Tooie anyone? plus old CoD game). I'm not sure about other rating companies.

It's because of the blood, not the flood.

Maybe the alien blood and the fact that it's a guy shooting anything that moves that gives it an M rating. I don't know. They usually tell you on the rating label.

Here's a link to the ESRB website and rating for ODST: http://www.esrb.org/ratings/search.jsp It's rated M for Blood, Language, and Violence.

Halo: CE Anniversary Achievement Idea
C-C-C-CANNON BREAKER!
Let Sgt. Johnson die on Halo.

Pshh, they've rated Call of Duty games Teen before.

I think it's because the blood in Halo actually stay on the ground for more than a few seconds. :)

Yeah but they've also cussed a lot more than any Halo game and it's more realistic in sertain areas. Halo at most, imo, should be a 15+ rated game

It'll be M for mature again. personally i think halo is only about 14+ or so, theres no real gore, no language, and no bad influences (how is killing aliens bad? you just gunna stand there as they anally probe you?)
