Am I the only one having issues with the Quicktime 360 degree view movies being posted? The ones that can be found on the Weekly Update and the Field Guide on the ODST page. I can't open them in Quicktime. I have Quicktime version 7.6, I'm not sure if it's the most recent, but still.

So far I've only been able to open them up in After Effects, then render them out in WMV format. Why is that?

Irrelevant, I download the files to my computer and double click them to open them in Quicktime, which I have installed on my computer. I get an error:

Error -108: an unknown error occured (filename)

where filename is the...filename...

Although, I can't open quicktime files directly in my browser either, I get a little script error in the status bar and the file never plays. I'm using IE7.

[As of October 2012]
2013 ADFA Officer Cadet of the RAAF (Aerospace Engineer Electronics Officer).

I'm using Firefox 3 and can't see them either.
Clicking on them to view them as a page just gets me a Quicktime symbol with a question mark layered over it and downloading it is pointless as it gets an error.
Trying FLV player <plays everything> only lets me play nothing, literally, 10 or so seconds of nothing.

I also maintain that Chrome is weaksauce, and IE9 is fast and works very well

It's really not that exciting, unless I'm doing something wrong. As far as I can see, nothing we haven't already seen.

@use firefox: no.

I know the files aren't anything special, but I'm keeping records of everything ODST and Reach related on my own server for when the files aren't available anymore or are hard to find, I'll still have them and they'll be posted on my site. It's just that I can't play them on my computer and was wondering if anyone else was having issues with watching them. I haven't tried VLC yet, I don't like to have that installed, and I won't use Firefox because I hate it.
