Ok so now we aren't playing as a Spartan II any more, melee is going to be toned down a lot. No more falcon punches :( However, wouldn't it be rather cool if, when using a weapon that has been outfitted with a blade (namely the brute weapons) rather than punch with it, you initiated a stab attack. For example, when wielding a brute spiker, when the melee button was pressed, you would slash downwards across your enemy.
Obviously it would have to be stronger that the standard melee, (maybe +25 damage?) and could also add a new experience to the game, giving more players the incentive to start using these brutal weapons (excuse the pun ;)

Uh... Isn't that what you already do when you melee with the Brute Shot? But no, I don't think it should do more damage. You're an ODST, not a Spartan. You shouldn't usually be getting that close to a Brute anyway.

I know, but surely a cutting edge should do a fair amount more damage that a gloved ODST fist.
Oh and to be fair, Your primary weapons is a SMG, in order to increase the effectiveness of this weapon, you would have to be "that close to a Brute"

Yeah, but it has a scope. You don't need to be within melee distance.
