Bungie had stated before that Halo 3: ODST is not going to price out to be a new game, such as 60 dollars. Bungie said the game is going to price out to be an expansion pack. If you look at Game Stop, the game is selling for 60 bucks. Is there a place where you can buy the game for what Bungie said, or is it just 60 bucks?

I realize it's and expansion, but Bungie said it would price out to be one, not a full game.

it appears you have fallen into a sarchasm...
its the gap between someone making a sarcastic comment, and you picking up on that sarcasm...

no, it originally was going to be, but MS decided to milk the it to make a larger profit.

Why the hell are you looking at this? Get out.

And no group invites, you jerk. I'm not interested.

It's a full game.

If I had one wish for Bungie.net, it would be to be able to change my username. Even if it cost me Microsoft Fun-Money, Space Bucks, or Stosh Dollars. That is all.

Halo 2 Stats

They said they were hoping for it to be a $40 game. They wanted it to be $40, for the fans. It's not their fault it didn't work out as planned.

Microsoft made it 60 dollars, not bungie, but hey said it has enough extras for i to be $60.

1)All 24 maps, plus the next 3 mythic maps.
2)Sgt. Johnson if pre-ordered before Ag.
3)Fireflight.
4)Halo 3, ONline play (MM, Costume games, Forge, Theater).
5)And of course the ODST campaign.

So in total it would be like this.

$40 for the campaign game, plus $10 for the other 3 mythic maps, the other halo 3 disc with the online play would be like $20, then it has the fireflight and johnson, plus if you don't have the heroic, legendary, or mythic map pack, you will get them all for free with the second disc, thats like another $20.

So in reality they are saving you money, and some memory for your xbox 360 too.

I'm pretty sure Halo 3 is worth $50...not $20.

sPidey KOon has a point there and then +a controller(for limited) wich is around $45 it is a lot of money so it is actually more worth then it seems

40$ for campaign? Are you insane? The thing is shorter then Halo 3's. There basically making us repay for the multiplayer aspect.

Bungie doesn't have controll over the prices. Yes I'm sure they would like it to be the amount they want it to be but Microsoft is the one that determines the prices. =/

wow that is so NOT treu ,the game looks incredible and fireflight has been added to the multiplayer aspect.but if you dont want to buy it at any cost then..........

  • 06.06.2009 8:57 AM PDT

I don't get why you guys are defending the price.

It's too much. The only new aspects are the short campaign, firefight, and 10$ worth of maps. And that's not worth 60$, clearly.

Microsoft are being greedy again, you shouldn't defend that.
