I had a very similar thing, only I threw a 14 story building out of a pool and hit a kid on a paper aeroplane.

Story, Firefight, new weapons, co-op, all maps (on disk 2), anything else I missed?

From what I can see, the gameplay just seems more fun than Halo 3. I mean, in Halo 3 there were plenty of weapons on the ground that you would just skim over because they sucked. In ODST, they got rid of the BR (and I really hope the AR) because your starting weapons were so good. That's a win. Also, power weapons will probably be harder to find. ODST just has that whole "I'm not an invincible supersoldier, I must pick my battles" vibe. Unlike Halo 3's campaign, I actually expect ODST to be a challenge. Plus, the open-world roaming design seems like it'll be a great improvement to Bungie's previous linear levels.
Overall, ODST's campaign will simply be a better experience, because of what was added and subtracted from the formula. It's much more realistic and intense, and feels less like a game of getting from point A to point B and more like a stealth/action game.

It's definitely a must play because its the first game of its kind in the franchise and I think a majority of halo fans have wanted to play a game like this set in the halo universe for a while.

Welcome to the town of "Diligence." I'm Mayor Due.

I have to give it a go. I love The Halo games and this looks like more of the same good stuff.

Life's a -blam!-, always testing you. All you got to do is get up from your desk, kick it in the balls and walk out of the class. Then you come back later, and pass the test.

Only 1 reason needed. It's Halo!!!1!!!111!!1!!!!!1!!1!one!!!111!eleven!!

It is said to play similar to Halo 1 (scoped pistol, fall damage, health packs, etc.); so if you like Halo 1, then you will like Halo 3: ODST. As for health, you have a regenerating stamina bar and once that bar gets low enough (not sure how low), your health will deplete and will not regenerate. To heal yourself, you simply get a health pack (I think). Graphically, the game has changed very little because it runs on the same graphics engine as Halo 3.

An AR is shown in the Campaign demo in Dutch's flashback, a marine has one. However, I think they'll be much more rare in this game.
