Is there any way that we can get rid of the "beatdowns" catagory of our tool of destruction page?

Its not that I'm not a fan of Beatdowning, its just that I'd like to know which weapons I get most of my beatdowns with.

A beatdown with a certain weapon, say, an AR beatdown, would count as an AR kill. However, when you highlight the AR, it would have a number for the actual AR kills that you have gotten and the number of AR beatdowns you have gotten.

Its kinda annoying trying to calculate how many spiker kills one has when more than half of them have been beatdowns, and are indistinguishable from my AR beatdowns, plasma rifle beatdowns, emerald fist beatdowns, or brute shot beatdowns.

Just a minor annoyance, what do you people think?

YES.

Nice spiker kills by the way. Jealous.

Edit: I don't know if it would get overcrowded, but it would be nice to not have to hover over and see number kills with a gun, number of beat downs and number of headshots.
Personally I don't think it would be overcrowded, especially if it didn't show ranked and social side by side.

No that's not right at all. The beatdown statistic tracks how often you get up close and personal to get your kills. Since all beatdowns except the sword and hammer do the same damage, it would be ridiculous to count beatdowns as kills for individual weapons. The weapon stats are there to display skill with a certain weapon. A three year old could pick up the sniper and beat someone down twice for a kill and then it would say that they got a kill with the sniper rifle.

Except that when you highlight their sniper kills, you would see that some of them are beatdowns.

If it was like that for every weapon, that would be awesome. But somewhere it should show your total beatdowns.

That would still be shown by your beatdown medals.

Yes, but it should be combined with your assassinations as well.

Beatdowns + Assassinations = Total Beatdowns?

Exactly. I don't see why there should also be an extra counter to add the two for you.
Also, I don't know if you noticed I edited my first post because personally I think that's a good solution.

thats a horrible idea

a melee kill while holding an AR is a melee kill not an AR kill
It wouldn't show up as an AR kill, it would show up as an AR melee kill, and you could still track your total melee kills.
