Some can come away from reading "War and Peace" thinking it a simple adventure story, while others can read the ingredients on a gum wrapper and unlock the secrets of the universe.

Ok whats that about? From the beggining you know the end? I saw some dude who had a rather... strange theroy. He belived that maybe when the master chief goes through the portal in halo 3 he gets zapped back in time. That... would be... completly..... AWSOME!!!!!!!!
Think of the possibilities. I know its quite a stretch but think of the sense it would make. In halo 3 when you keep getting those annoying signals from cortana like "this place will become your tomb". I mean just think about it. The chief must live it all all over again. The planet he drifts to at the end of 3... The possibilities would be endless... I know that all sounds completly wacko but its still to early to tell. I think it would be awsome. The master chief lands some where kills a few covenant... completly confused because there still lead by elites... encounters some marines who are all like "wow weve never seen that kind of spartan armor before!" It would be the coolest time paradocs ever. The master chief of course never meets himself or else he would remember it (if your following me), the story would be amazing. Of course i realize im talking completly crazy now, i don't ven partially believe my self. I'm just saying it would be cool.

With B.B. gone, the passion of Bungie.net has lessened.

"From the beginning, you know the end."

In other words, when you start the game, you already know how the game's going to end: Reach get's -blam!--ed. Proper -blam!--ed. No matter how hard you try, you lose the battle.

But I guess luckily, you still win the war later on.

There are two things on this forum that piss me off;
Idiots and group invites.
What's even worse, is that I can never seem to get away from either of them ¬_¬

Halo is great. Bungie is great.

i hope bungie wouldnt try to pull of time travel. time travel is not possible. this is because paradoxes are not possible. since paradoxes are not possible we know that time travel is not possible because if it was people from the future would have visited people of the past and helped us but because they havent done that we know it isnt possible. (maybe kinda of confusing. sorry if it is. if u dont understand ill post again)

and how!

You know the end as in you know that hundreds of thousands of humans die on Reach, and there is nothing you can do to stop it.

No time travel BS.

From the Beginning, You Know the End - Either Halo:Combat Evolved very first scene, or the book cover of Fall of Reach, you know what eventually happens.

Exactly.

The quote means that if you read Halo: The Fall of Reach and Halo: First Strike, you know how it will end.
And, for the last time, Master Chief did not go through the portal. Only the Arbiter's half of the ship did.

  • 06.06.2009 1:58 PM PDT

"From the beginning, you know the end."

In the end Reach gets glassed and Master Chief goes into a cryotube, which is on the Pillar of Autumn. that ship (along with Keyes, Johnson and cortana) blindly jumps to alpha halo

"from the beggining
you know the end"

That is how it showed in the trailer and it could mean that since it is Halo: Reach you are taking the fight "from the beggining". This makes since as the next line could mean that "you know the end" already becuase of H3.
