Subject: Concerning New Halo Storyarc

Well, it appears that Bungie will be starting a new story arc with the Spartans on Reach. To the ones who have read the books, do you think this could lead to a more in depth following of Dr. Halsey and the other Spartans. In particular when Dr. Halsey takes Kelly (?guessing, some girl I remember?) to follow a hunch on Onyx and meets with the Ghosts of Onyx, and most of them eventually retreat into the Dyson Sphere of the shield world, Onyx. The way they ended that book, seemed like their story was not quite over.

Anybody else get that feeling? Feel free to leave any continuations or hypothesis of new storyarcs.

I think Reach will be more of a standalone game, just by thinking about it saying 'From the beginning you know the end' but I'll have a better idea by the time I see the ending of the game.

Do none of you have a sense of humour?
We do, this just isn't funny.

If the planet at the end of Halo 3 is Onyx, then they could be telling a new trilogy the other half of the story, from the other Spartans view and Dr. Halsey, from reach, to when Dr. Halsey, Kelly, Kurt and the few S-III's are in the Dyson Sphere.

Then they can finally make a final Halo (trilogy?) where the Master Chief and Dr. Halsey and the other spartans storys combine and tell the overall ending of the Halo saga :)

Harbinger of Death

That would be very cool. And if you think about it, the sphere the Spartans are standing in, in the Halo Reach picture, could be representing the Dyson Sphere as well as the planet Reach itself.

If the Covenant couldn't be seen glassing the background, then yes.

Yes, that is along the lines of what I am thinking. Kind of like how Halo 3: ODST is showing the story from another perspective, Halo Reach could show the story of Dr. Halsey, Kelly, Kurt, etc. in their episodes. I like your conjecture that the Chief might meet up with that team in the Dyson Sphere (if that is what you are saying.) I am not sure where else they would go with it from there though. What other conflict can there be, with the Elites going their separate ways, the Prophets defeated, I don't even know what happened to the Covenant, disbanded maybe? The end of Halo 3 with the Chief might be just that. It is a pretty damn good ending in itself with the Chief and Cortana drifting through space for who knows how long.

I don't know. I just don't know where this story is going to go if further.

What if possibly, Bungie is going to connect a storyarc following the Spartans on Reach to Master Chiefs storyarc? That's not that far out there, IMO.

I've never read the books though, so I don't know if that's even possible.

Yes, that is similar to what I think RichardrahciR said earlier. I could see it happen, but as I said previously I don't know where they could go from there besides conclusion. Unless they get much further into the Forerunner story, which would be really interesting. But still there is know foreseeable conflict to me. Anyone have ideas?

Also you should check out the books. Most of them are really good reads, and have some kick ass Spartan action. Unbelievable stuff and the story was also very helpful to me for understanding the overall story of Halo, especially the Covenant ideology and motives. It is very interesting if u liek some Halos.
