Ok well ive been browsing this fourm an have found several theories and questions that need a final answer.

First theory to go along with its evidence is the popular time travel mess. Ok people it IS NOT time travel becuase there would be no point and the chief would not just repeat everything he did from reach to the ark all over agian without confronting his former self. An to everyone who says "Blam! he doesnt have to meet himself cause his past self died Blam!-er" i say nay becuase John wasnt even on the planet Reach at the time of the glassing and when hasley an the other ground spartans retreated into the bunker area. He was in orbit around the planet with 2(i think) other spartans on a scouting, retrieval, demolition mission on some type of destroyd vessel. Also the evidence of "LOOK theres clearly a cut inhalf ship in the teaser!! SOO it must be chief from the end of H3!" if you actually paid attention one half of the frigate at the end of H3 had arby in it an was returned to Earth while the other half had the chief an was floating past the unknown planet.

On to the next one if do say so mysef...

Ok I also belived this theory myself but now i have come to reject it that in the teaser that by the 2 moonlike objects is a ringlike construct floating near it. While it may look like a small Halo or something of the sort it is 1000 times more likley that it is simply a reflection of the local sun off the water/ice on the moon. Or it could be a smaller planet(cant remember the book very clearly) that had a military attachment that was bombarded by the covenant also an we see the plasma discharge from the convenants massive weapons much like the chockwave we see kick up dust from a massive explosion.

For my third an last theory to destroy i have chosen is the whole mess with "are those voices Spartan III's? or what if...". Ok well lets stick with the facts. We know for certain that john an 2 other(mabye3?) are on a space mission around reach while the rest are on ground suport around the generators for the planets main power. The initial drop of spartans went bad when their pelicans got hit an they freefell thousands of feet. While with Freds great thinking of useing their suits to cushion their fall we know that several spartans ate dirt an died a horrible death upon impact of the planet. The rest made their way to the power station picking up a few marines from a earlier battle. There they sent out a successful mission with the loss of one spartan(or they saved him/her..its been awhile) an the destruction of a convenant cruiser. Although the convenant started to glass the plnet the spartans retreated into a nuclear explosion proof bunker with several layers. Here they found Dr. Hasley who after fixing the spartans up to the best of her abilities made no revalation of any spartan III's also helping on reach. As she would have told them this becuase of her 'motherly" attachment to them and becuase she would of felt guilty for being the cause of the death of so many other spartans becuase it was her project that she started no matter if the spartan III's were formed under ackerson(i think it was).

Ok well thats my 2 cents on things. Discuss as you may.
KEEP IT CLEAN :)

I do not appreciate B.Net Group solicitation. If you ignore this and send me an invitation anyway, I will block communications with you.

Not all of the Spartans survived, and Sam was dead in 2525. I think it was Fred that was in charge at the time. Also, when Dr. Halsey learns of the Spartan-IIIs in Ghosts of Onyx, she revels to herself about how ridiculously far-fetched it seemed that such a program, as active as it was, would have been able to be kept secret from the likes of her.

It is possible that the Spartan-IIIs, specifically Gamma Company, which was deployed after the First Battle of Reach, did fight on/for it in some way. No confirmation in either direction, though... and besides, the Spartan-IIIs are 13-14 years-old at this time, and in the novels, are reported to still having trouble with their voices, which in relation to the teaser, rules out the idea of a Spartan-III having a 30 or even 40 year-old voice.

Ah yes it was fred an not sam becuase didnt sam's suit rip in a covie vessel? anyway i believe that on Onyx Hasley said that she alwasy thought they would try to make cheaper aprtans but never in the masses that they had made.

She may have, I'm unsure. But I know for sure that she also expressed that surprise when she learned of S-III in Ackerson's files. Re-read it yesterday when forming up my Class-I hypothesis thread.

In either case, I wouldn't rule it out quite yet, as much as I would dislike the idea.
