What?

I doubt it, i think they did that because they had a limited supply of covenant weapons, so they had to resort to using human tech

no, the brutes are better equiped now, and they have their own set of weapons, so it would kind of be a waste to give them human weapons

  • 06.06.2009 3:08 PM PDT

I tbought that i might add a little variety though... not just brutes with the same guns, it would be interesting how they would use the human guns

I disagree. It was considered heretical for the Covenant to use inferior weapons. Multiplayer is a different story, and the Elites in Halo 3 split from Covenant doctrine.

  • 06.06.2009 3:09 PM PDT

why did bungie put them in the 2nd halo game

Can you offer us a picture? If not, I have to suspect that you don't have your facts right... :/

  • 06.06.2009 3:13 PM PDT

They did in halo 2, it was on Uprising

Actually....
The brutes in Halo 2 were stockpiling these heretic weapons and in the book Ghosts of Onyx the are stealing nukes.

No its true.

In uprising, there was a group of brutes with shot guns where you hop in the ghosts after going through the forerunner structure in the beginning. of course, that is the only one I remeber, there were plenty more.

Spartans are from Venus and Elites are from Uranus

It probably wont happen. I wouldn't say it's a bad idea but I don't really care either way. At this point I'd probably think it's kinda odd since at this point in th series they just feel alot more covenanty than before.

They DID use Covenant weapons. You guys need to play the other Halo games. -.-

But I'd rather they not.

Yeah, just load up the last level and play it. There were Brutes that used shotguns at the end of Halo 2.

ya im not saying that they should implement them all the time but sometimes it would be cool if they would be there, not like a glitch but you might get lucky to see them. This would be a cool thing becuase you would be able to grab that weapon and some ammo with it. You catching my drift?

They seemed to be hoarding lots of human tech, in their armory they have canisters labeled "Nerve Gas."

No, the brutes have there own guns for a reason now. In Halo 2 they were just not finished.

-Life is suffering, now go and enjoy.

That just got me thinking can you imagine how hard a brute chieftain with a brute shot is going to be, one shot and your dead and they have a lot of armor and health. God that's going to be a freaking challenge.

I'll type out what it says in my Halo 2 Limited Collectors Edition manual thats written from the Arbiters point of view I believe.

"Great Council: Human weapons are primitive, mostly chemical and projectile in nature, but some are effective nonetheless. Our reliance on and expectation of energy-based weapons means that we may need to adjust our strategy when faced with the Human devices. However, the simplistic nature of Human weapons makes them open to analysis. Covenant weapons are always superior, but when faced with a choice of wielding no weapon or a Human weapons, our forces should acquire the nearest weapon at hand--even if Human. A basic understanding of how these primitive weapons work is important so that we may use these weapons to our advantage.

Bungie.net is the place to be!

Amidst the snowfall, the cold does little to diminish his wishes to be free. The eagle is chained and has no way of breaking free. No matter how much he flies, he still is chained. The blizzards do nothing to break his determination and in his eyes, he will be freed, someday...

Bad habits are like chains that are too light to feel until they are too heavy to carry

I remember that. That was on the level Uprising. I do think that this is possible because the Brutes must run out of weapons eventually and may resort to using Heretic weapons such as the shotgun.

Maybe it was a glitch. Brutes dun use human guns. they try and capture a nuke in The Ghosts of Onix, if i remember correctly, but no human guns.
