Why do all the people think Dare is a traitor?
I narrowed it down to these:
1: She is a classified
2: She is ONI
3: In the gamplay trailer you here "Were gonna miss the carrier!" Dare-"That's exactly where I need you to go."

If it's any of those or anything else plz post. It makes no sense.

My problems [with Reach] are basically just full parties, mlg, and people who go out of their way not to get killed.

Yep, those are the only things people have on her. It is funny, to be honest.

She may not be a traitor but she is not serving in the UNSC's best interests, just her own and ONI. ONI seems to be very seperate and have very different plans from the UNSC as a whole.

Reach needs to be patched. It's the truth.

Women are the root of all evil. lol no

ONI officers are always suspicious

1. i really have no explanation for that one.

2. ONI agents will sacrifice anything to complete their mission, even if it means killing off their own teammates.

3. see no.2

I had a very similar thing, only I threw a 14 story building out of a pool and hit a kid on a paper aeroplane.

The Flood is just this awesome :D

maybe people think that dare is going to betray her squad because she is the ONLY different person of the squad

That made me chuckle. I've had plenty of folks with recon TK.

Self-proclaimed genius.
Roam the streets with a sign, "will love for false hope."

She might kill your entire squad with her own motives that are more important than the defense of Earth.

But traitor, she is not. She's just defending Earth, even if that means sacrificing it. Typical ONI.

No, i'm pretty sure she says "I'm going exactly where I need to go" But that's just what I hear.

Check out the group, Planet Reach and talk about Bungie's next game without the annoyance of the public forum. Oh and it's nice there too.

You thought you had lag, it took Jesus 3 days to re-spawn.

I don't see how any of that classifies her as a traitor. In the opening cutscene it seems obvious Buck knows they are not supposed to hit the carrier. He seems upset with Dare over something. She's is part of ONI, so she has some dangerous side mission, but I don't think that means she's a traitor.

Monkey see, Monkey shoot.

Terry Pratchet - The Best.

I don't get why people are saying she is a Traitor. She is doing her job, and anyway, UNSC and ONI are the same side. Forget that, the same force pratically.

What we know.
Before Launch.
Captain of the ship attacks Regrets ship.
DARE asks for a orbital drop on the ship.*
Computer says no. Sorry Captain.

Dare then over-rides the Captain by revealing herself as a S1 officer. Oni section 1.

They launch, and DARE is carrying out her primary orders, to make sure that certain intel does not fall to enemy hands.

Course correction. Regret then Jumps which screws everything to pieces.

Some time later the Rookie wakes up to find that the ODST's have Blown the bridge up to the Oni data-center to stop the advancing covenant. And the building is partially destroyed.

The Rookie then tries to find his squad. They all meet up at the end for a big ending.

Small note, I think it seems logical that the Oni Data center has the Halo data, that cortanna nicked from it. The covies would want this and so try to get it, along with any other gems hidden in the Oni Data center.

[Edit] We know a fair bit about the start, if you look at all the evidence bungie has given us pver the pass year or two about Halo odst.

Remember the clues about a new game? Very helpful now.

mongooses are the best. Remember that.

Do you like to forge? Want a place to share your maps? Want to join a friendly forging group? Plasmic Forgers

In the triler when she says "Orders are Orders"-this could of been her being ordered to betray her squad, and trying to tell the Rookie that they were orders from command.

Betray her squad?

In what way, she is just acting per orders, filling her squad in on a need to know bases.

Their original mission was scrubbed. Which looked like to me like an attempt at teh Spartan II original mission prior to Reach getting invaded.

Board a covie ship and Kidnap a Prophet, in order to bargain a truce.

Yes she betrays her squad by changing the mission, but only as she is order to. They probably didn't factor in Regret jumping taking almost all of the ODSTs with him.

I see no betrayal here, just some insane orders from High-Command.

Put it this way. Anything in the UNSC is cannon fodder, repair ships, marines, Longsword pilots. They are all suacidle. Most of all the Spartans.

Death to rank junkies.

I've heard the main villan was female, and seeing as there are no other females mentioned that only leaves Dare.

I never heard that from a Bungie source.

Where is The Alpha

I will take what we have

One step further

well one thing is the quote is

ODST "Were going way off course"

Dare "were going exactly where we need to go"

Heading for the Oni Data-center?

I mean why not. It plays a major part of the Game.

And there are some other reasons, such as if you compare where they are going /land to where the data center is loacated.
