MC AI to test physics, this might mean that rag doll physics will be used in Halo 2.

That can be a old shot for all you know. And maybe bungie was not ready to shown or was not done with the rag doll physics, but you can be right. Which i don't think you are. : )

That was probably an older version, so who knows they may have implemented it now, not to say that they have

I want it so if you run over bodies with the hog the hog bounces up and down like it hit a speedbump, I want to feel the body I squish too, whether dead or alive.

Bungie will not put any thing in Halo 2 unless it's perfect. So if rag doll physics is in Halo 2 it's "perfect"!

Yea, man that would be tight! Also have the body behide the rear wheels, and when take off it kind of push the bodies back with the force you made with the Hog.

And i thinkg the rag doll will be in Halo 2 becaues bungie wants the game to look great, and would't it look like crap(compared with hafl-life 2, etc..)if the dead bodies hang off a side of a wall like they did in Halo 2? Huh? Yea i thought so... ;)

true, but ragdoll would not quite be correct in this game.. they're wearing metal armour, so they would not act the slightest bit like a "ragdoll"

However, bodies still may be effected by both gravity, and force... creating a more realistic version of the ragdoll effect

halo 1 had a bit of ragdoll physics cos when a body was perched over a ledge it would deform a bit
but halo 2 will not have ful ragdoll physics like in halflife 2 cos you wont have the waving your arms thing when you are airborn

also bodies should not flail their arms after the are dead.

I'm not entirely sure why I continually drag myself into this Ragdoll debate; nevertheless I will plead my case once more. I personally do not believe the Ragdoll engine will be implemented in Halo 2. Reason being, Halo's death-physics (and physics in general for that matter) were unique, effective and light-years ahead of any other developer’s efforts. While I don't necessarily have anything against the use of the Ragdoll engine (though it has been around for quite a while with little or no improvements) it's quite simply not Halo. If previous efforts from Bungie are any indication, they will continue to push the envelope and innovate rather than fall into the drab, monotonous norm that is Ragdoll.

Rainbow Six 3 and Ragdoll: Eh, ok.

Halo 2 and Ragdoll: I sincerely hope not.

That being said, my guess is as good as yours.

Edit: I seem to have misplaced the second half of my argument... Oh, there it is.

maybe bungie just modded halos original "physics" engine and is testing how it works on h2 .

Ok, so marines won't have any rag doll physics they not really wearing armour, aslo each model should have different physics codes, so moble with amour or with short leds, arms, etc.. will not move as much, and even with armour on the person will still fall when dead, he would't be standing up when he dead, the armour haves joints, If you look at MC armour it has the black leather like stuff around the major joints of the body.

And rag doll is the most realist engine out there. Why do you think everyone use's rag doll.

For the reasons I mentioned above. Many developers have settled for what is little more than a decent engine ; continually conforming instead of innovating.

If any developer is set to break the norm, it's Bungie.

Yea replace the normal with a worse engine. Rag doll is the best and the realist engien theres no need to make engine thats going to fall short to the rad doll engine.

Bungie has innovating gameplay, story line,multiplayer,live,lan,feel,graphics,etc.. in first person shooter games, theres no need to change anything else that will be worse.

look at this pic, you can see the jackel takes forum of the force made by the grenadne, meaning it's the rag doll engine.

so you are saying that halo has a worse engine than all the other games? then if that is so i suggest that you LEAVE

bungie doesnt copy other ideas (ok most ideas) it likes to do things their OWN WAY

just think about it

No, i'm saying that the engine they used in Halo was worse then the Rag doll engine.
Think about it, seeing the same deaths almost every time is not reall a good engine.

If you go deep into real world almost everything is some-what copying, Rag doll engine was and is not a trademark of anyone, so others can use this awesome engine.

Bungie did the engine that way in Halo because of time.(You would think)

"leave" or think before saying something.
