i thing it pretty cull bungie is taking atip from nintendo and making a stong woman character. and dare would win!
Come on now...Mrs. Pacman was the first strong woman character. Surely, both Samus and Dare follow in the path set by her. :P
But in comparison who's stronger? I mean, Samus has lasted her 20 + years, where is Mrs. Pacman now? Small roles in 2 bit spin-off, party, and crossover games? She obviously didn't have a strong enough appeal to become as timeless as Samus.
Mrs. Pacman is more iconic then Samus...mostly for the same reasons Mario is more iconic then our friend the Chief. It's about the legacy...when Metroid is gone will anybody besides fans and gamers remember the name Samus? Do many now? Mrs. Pacman is a legend, pop culture icon, everybody knows and remembers the name.
Mrs. Pacman would eat Samus and Dare...but then Samus and Dare would return as ghosts, only then do they stand a chance and that chance soley relies on how many quarters are available lol.
In terms of a straight fight? Samus. Dare's tech and skill set is a joke compared to Samus'
lol. Legacy. How many units do you think a new Pacman title would sell nowadays? And how many units does a Metroid game sell?
You may not like to admit it, but Samus has become something of an icon herself. how many gamers today know about the justin bailey cheat? How many play smash bros for that matter?
People would notice is she wasn't in the roster for the next game. But when someone walks into an arcade, how many people exclaim "Aw man! They don't have Mrs. Pacman!"?
Legacy isn't about right here and right now. It also goes beyond the bounds of the fans but of the entire population.
A non gamer will know who Mrs Pacman is, only gamers know the name Samus, and only fans will care about Dare.
