In the E3 video, her name was revealed to be Veronica. (or another "V" name, I forget.)

There are only a few signature female characters in Halo history:
Miranda Keyes: Deceased.
SPARTAN-087 Kelly: Not an ODST.
SPARTAN-058 Linda: Not an ODST.
A few SPARTAN III's: Deceased or on unknown Shield World (Onyx).

But there is one that may be DARE: Dr. Catherine Halsey.
Think about it: In the video, DARE had a voice like Cortana, and Cortana was a direct physical and mental copy of Dr. Halsey. And why else would Bungie hide all Dare's stats?

This is only a theory. No flaming necessary.

Um, DR.H was with the spartan 3s, Roflz

I would have to say no. One during Halo 3, I believe Halsey is held up in Onyx with the rest of the Spartans in the Dyson Sphere., no?

And if not, I never could see her as the fighting type... And, er doesn't Halsey have brown hair? This girl has blond hair.
