Okay I know you aren't a Spartan anymore, you do not have recharging energy shields... What I'm not clear on, is whether or not your hipoints/health/stamina whatever, regenerates at all now...

I've heard that it's somewhat like Halo 1, You have something that recharges, and then you have "base health" under that, which can only be replenished via med kits... But from the videos I've seen, it appears that when you get shot, your health does NOT regenerate... Unless you find med kits...

Am I going to have to deal with the situation of having no health and not being able to find any, and having no choice but to run around and get one shotted by a Brute Shot?...

yes, first, you have a layer of "stamina" which is the amount of hits you can take prior to having your actual HP lowering, then, you must seek med-packs if your injuries are severe enough.

in short, yes, it resembles Halo 1's health system.

I beat down a Scarab.

For ODST you do not have Recharging badass armor.

You are now a mere mortal.

Look for a healthpack.

TIS BUT A SCRATCH!

Think of stamina as a really weak shield. This regenerates.
Now think of the health the same was as it was in Halo 1. You cannot regenerate it without picking up a med pack.

It's more like Halo CE's situation, Stanima acts like Halo CE's shields, then health acts like the base health from Halo CE (Of which you had to [and still do] get health packs to regenerate).

Hope this helps! :)

EDIT to below: I think you mean Flesh wound, not scratch, if your referencing what I think your referencing...

What are you referencing?

On the HUD, how/where is the Stamina displayed? I only remembered seeing the relatively large "health bar" at the top of the visor...

They are referencing something entirely different not related to your post I think.

Stamina is not displayed, you only know it's down when your screen turns red.

EDIT: I've seen the movie, don't know why I didn't catch where the quote was from. Guess it's been a while.

You have stamina. Once that is gone you health bar starts to go down. But once your out of battle your stamina recharges and if anyone wants to lower your health even more they will have to get past your stamina again.

i thought that Mr.Staten said your health very slowly regenerate if you find cover.i might be a misundertanding.

Actually, from my understanding, the health system is more akin to a Brute's than MC's in Halo CE. You have a layer of protection that regenerates if damaged partially, but does not regenerate if completely depleted and actual damage is taken, kind of like how a Brute's armor regenerates, but can be destroyed so it can't be used anymore. I think getting Med-packs will also restore stamina if it has already been depleted.

Been here 6 years, been blacklisted 6 times, that's why I'm not Mythic.

I feel like this game will resemble Halo 1 more than 2 or 3 did.
