If you don't think it's worth the money, nobody is going to force you into buying the game.

I'll be picking it up on day 1.

Thomas

because you get two discs with ODST one with campaign, firefeight, theater and halo reach beta and disc two with halo 3 matchmaking, custom games, forge anf theater and you get the mythic maps that are worth 800 ms/ 5 pound so it all really adds up.

They have to milk it. Every little bit counts.

They know people will buy it. Even though we have bought each map pack individually, we have to pay for them again.

I guess they have tried to put as much in the game as possible, by including the new modes, and the Reach BETA access.

Looks like a good game though, and yes I will get it.

You get,
- New Campaign
- Firefight Mode
- Reach BETA
- 3 Maps

which is still decent.

I guess your question is:

IVe already paid for all 3 map packs, why should i have to pay for them again?

The answer is:

You don't have to, it's up to you to decide whenever or not you want to buy it / think it's worth it. It's everything or nothing.

Considering that there are games out there that offer even less content than ODST with $60 price tags attached to them, I think we are getting our worth here. I know this will offer a ton of replay value for me in the way of firefight and 4-player co-op campaign.

if knowledge is power and power corrupts, isn't knowledge therefore dangerous?
Black Tower

this isn't your ordinary expansion.
it's practically it's own game, a large campaign AND firefight, AND comes with 80% of H3

It's not a big deal. No one's forcing you to buy it.

Dude it's 6-8 hours on Normal, and you get fire fight 1000 gamer score. Co-op.

Halo 3 was only 6-8 hours on Normal, and you got MM.

The Halo 3 MM is just fine look at the numbers, or people that still are playing it.

Plus you get a key for Reach.

Not only that, but Recon, and the Maps.

And even though you bought the maps, its sounding like if you get ODST, you can play it form the disk, meaning you can free up your hard drive, trust me that in and of itself is worth 20 bucks.

The game is giving you a lot, and we all have bought games with no replay value no multi-player. And payed 60 big ones for it..

Mass Effect, Assassins creed, sure they were nice and long, but really they were not worth the $60 put on them. I have prototype reserved, I'll play it once, and never touch it again.

Thing is Firefight will have me coming back again and again, that game mode is worth 40 at least, its better than hoard, on Gears 2, and if they make maps for ODST than it would be sweet.

PLUS machinima Think, now you can some what control covenant to battle. and since its working off of halo 3 there will probably be, the weapons lowering, not to mention, that the weapons lowering would work onlive because there's no way to cheat with it there.

This is a full game in my eyes, there giving us a lot.

And the slim "chance" to fight elites in campaign would make this worth it.

And for you people that say its not possible, remember, in Reach, Elites are gonna be your enemy and since its not taking them 3 years to come out with this game after ODST. Im gonna say that its on the Halo 3's programming.

Seriously, this is just throwing it back in loyal fans faces. Why the hell does this cost as much as a full retail game? Why isnt there just another ODST package where it doesent offer the maps, just the Story and Firefight mode? IVe already paid for all 3 map packs, why should i have to pay for them again?

ppl have posted this already before
u get a whole new campaign , a whole new gamemode (firefight)
all the maps from halo3 including the heroic , legendary and mythicmappack all costing bout 800MP wich is 3times 800points and 800points cost 10$ so thats 30$ just on mappacks already
then u get 3 brandnew maps that also would cost 800MP on marketplace wich is 40$ in total for the maps and then the campaign and firefight
+ you get the halo3 matchmaking with it

so all that would normally cost over 60$ or 40£ so be happy it costs this much and not like 90+

*edit the guy above me beat me into posting this so dont whine bout it*

Owners of the Katana: A place for those who have a Katana or over 1000GS in Halo 3.

Somewhere out there... in an alternate reality... Marty decided to stay in the ad jingle business, bringing about an age of amazingly orchestrated Pampers commercials.

Although the game itself is worth 40 dollars, it comes with 3 new maps and a multiplayer beta code for Halo: Reach, I think that's worth the extra 20 dollars.

Just look at the price on the LE. It's $100 but you get a ton of features. Even if you buy the standard edition it's still worth the money.
