A Beacon for the Deluded

Flood. Hate it or love it, the Flood's in every Halo game so far. So even though ODST and Reach show no sign of it..they're probably in the games.

I know the Fall of Reach never encountered Flood, but I have a feeling they'll still show up. Predictions?

I highly doubt it. The Flood was never even mentioned in the book.

If the flood is in ODST i think it will only be in Firefight mode. So you can have a lot more enemies to verse.

who said that the game was all about the book, the game may be set in the aftermath of the book.

I worship Bungie, 7th Colum, and the Holy Banshe ----> http://www.bungie.net/stats/halo3/screenshot_viewer_popup.asp x?fs=true&ssid=17759669

I have to agree with Mosh Pit Money, if you have read the series of books reach does hapen before the humans even knew about the flood. Ofcourse its up to bungie to put them in or not. Just because the battle for Reach happened before halo one doesn't mean that the elietes have never come in contact with the flood, so for all we know there could be an inffected eliete ship amongst all the others which crashes on the planet and begins inffecting civilians. Hmm I would like to see civillian flood :)

Also I would like to see how the plot in the book involving all the spartans comes into play in the game.

There might be Flood in ODST depending on how long the game lasts. If it all takes place before Halo 3, then there probably won't be any flood. If it lasts into the third game, then you might have to fight Flood when they come to Earth after the portal to the arc is opened. I doubt it will last that long, though.

As for Reach, I guess it all depends on what direction they're going with the game. If it's really a prequel to Halo, then there shouldn't be any Flood. If they want them in the game, though, they'll find a way. I personally hate the Flood, so hopefully they won't be in the game.

A Beacon for the Deluded

Flood was encountered in Halo Wars, which took place long before Halo:CE.

I wouldn't be surprised with ODST, because many Covenant were infected during the time ODST takes place. Although for the sake of continuity, I hope there isn't.

I'm hoping Halo: Reach follows both The Fall of Reach AND First Strike. Both involve Spartans on the planet. But it just depends on what the storyline is. I'm betting Bungie will find a way.

The flood was released during Halo:CE, before that I dont think anyone knew about it. And also, the Flood was never in the book, so its unlikely they'll make an appearance.

Agreed. And if the game does go that long, there's a chance the Rookie would meet, or be in proximity to, Master Chief. It's highly unlikely, imo.

I really hope they keep the Flood out of Reach. It doesn't seem like they could possibly fit in the story, given all we know from the Halo story so far (taking into account everything--games, books, the ARS, hints from Bungie, etc.).
