I love Mute!

Remember the end of halo. When halo fired or blew up (i forget), And took apart the ship that MC and Arbiter where in. I believe that blast that hit MC side of the ship either send him to another universe or time travel or send him flying or something that made him end up in reach. And now MC could save his team or other spartan that went MIA or he found the other Spartan that went MIA.

What do you think?

Btw i read the book, i just don't want a game where i know how it will go because i want something brand new.

You can't just walk in with a giant banana and expect everything to be peaches.

So there are going to be two Master Chief's at the battle of Reach. One present and one future? I think not.

But that would be cool

I worship Bungie, 7th Colum, and the Holy Banshe ----> http://www.bungie.net/stats/halo3/screenshot_viewer_popup.asp x?fs=true&ssid=17759669

Well killer you theory is interesting but they wouldn't have to send him back in time, they will most likely either include him as the main character in the game or let him be one of the spartans you work with.

Without me, it's just "Aweso".

Not in the slightest.

You've Been SHWEGALED!!!

K. MC is stuck on a ship with no engines.

That alone, shot down (sorry, *sadface* ) half your theory.

2nd, just no! It makes no sense! I'm sorry, maybe I shouldn't have posted this, but Your Idea sounds more like Back to the Future!

Proud frenchie, elite fan, anthro artist not hellbent on yiff convention/pics/whatever, mature and intelligent forum guy, 4chaner, halo 2 lover and halo 3 hater.

you know, time traveling is the most ridiculous theory ever.

halo tries to be realistic. why not also say cortana is a fairy that can repair the ship and revive dead people?
more seriously this would just destroy the story. if mc time travelled then HCE, H2 and H3 would be different, and so the ending would be different. and he can't travel back in the past to change the game, so in the end, it's just ridiculous.
besides, time traveling? it'd be the most ridiculous storyline in a serious videogame EVER.
there are more reasons, but hell I've said them a billion times to star trek nerds already...

He's right. to pull off time travel, the entire game has to evolve around that concept.

Armor Lock isn't overpowered. You just suck at Reach :)

Reach isn't bad, you're just a BK :)

For my gamertag, look up "Ghoulishtie"

What about my other theory in this. He goes to another universe

  • 06.07.2009 10:12 AM PDT

Guys... leave Master Chieft the hell alone! He's stranded... will Bungie just leave him there stranded? Of course not. Will his younger self make an appearance at Reach? I don't see why not? It'd be kind of fun to see him or even unlock him (if he were anything special... ya know, other than "lucky").

I think this title must have been aptly named for all the damned "Reaching" for plot lines that have been going on... speculation aside, I'm sure we all know how Reach went and being part of the (FPS) fire fight sounds like a blast :)

If we could all just agree on no more speculation on MC going to another time or parrallel universe or whatever, that'd be just great.

Haters are going to hate.
Praisers are going to praise.

The Bungie Forums are what keeps my mind sharp and my fingers active, between writing my own movie scripts, drawing, and studying industrial design. At the moment I'm working on miniatures for a short movie that I'll hopefully be able to film once I've saved up for a camera... That's me, with the mug, trying to have a conversation with Konoko.

How do you think coop in the first game was possible?

One Master Chief fought at the Battle of Installation 04. That there are "two of him" in co-op is strictly a matter of gameplay and has nothing to do with the fiction behind the game.

I know, I was just joking. Although I probably should have ended with ;)

Holy -blam!-!! There is no -blam!- time travel in this!!!!

  • 06.07.2009 10:45 AM PDT

ಠ_ಠ

There are 2 times when a man doesn't understand a woman - before marriage and after marriage.

An explosion wouldn't make someone go back in time, it just doesn't work that way. Anyway even if he did go back in time (which he doesn't) and changes the outcome of the battle, that would mean that there would be no Halo 1 hence stopping Master Chief from even going back in time in the first place. Time travel just wouldn't work in this kind of place and is a completely idiotic concept to try and fit in at all
