What if the legendary ending in Halo 3 is actually NOT showing the destroyed ship Master Chief was in, and was just a teaser for Halo: Reach all along? Can anyone prove that the ship Chief was in at the end of Halo 3 is identical to the one in the Legendary ending?

If not, than maybe the Legendary ending is, after all, showing a preview of Halo: Reach (but none of that time travel bull-blam!-- just a separate teaser on its own).

Thoughts?

Whats up with Spartans calling Elites Dinosaurs? I mean Spartans are the ones almost extinct! XD

Well for one thing they were no orbital stations surrounding the planet.

I don't exactly understand what your hypothesis is. The planet Reach was destroyed before even Halo: CE 'happened.' Therefore, the end of Halo 3 has absolutely no correspondence to Reach. End of story. I don't know how people can connect the two. For anybody that has read the books (which ARE actually accurate, since they were developed mostly by Joseph Staten), it is clear the events that took place. 1st Reach, then Halo: CE then various other stories, none that speak of Halo 3. In conclusion, Reach is YEARS before the events of Halo 3.

Time flies like an arrow; fruits flies like a banana.

In the legendary ending, the planet shows up behind half of a frigate, and just after the Chief looks outside. It would be a little far-fetched to say that the frigate isn't the one the Chief is in.

the planet M.C. was approaching look more like Onyx than Reach.

plus the whole time travel thing seems unlikely so I dont think it's reach

Underwater Eagle.

the Halo 3 ending was made a very long time ago, if bungie had planned that far ahead, we would have heard of reach a long time ago.

Reach was never really "destroyed" it just had it's surface glassed, turning the entire planet into an uninhabitable wasteland, it's still all in one piece though

Ugh! That's NOT what I'm saying. I'm saying that the Legendary ending is completely separate teaser trailer and has no relation to the ending of Halo 3. It's just a clip of a destroyed ship floating above Reach.
