Reach is a planet that was glassed just before the first Halo was discovered(when the covenant glasses a planet, it means that they constantly bomb the planet with plasma until all life on it is wiped out.). When Reach was glassed; Master Chief was forced to watch helplessly as his last fellow spartans died along with the planet Reach, making John the last spartan alive. How is this history lesson relevant you may ask. Well here's how: Obviously the game Halo Reach will occur on the planet Reach; therefore this game might occur in the past. This means that the other spartans are might to be alive in this game. This would be pretty cool right, playing with multiple spartans. But the downside to this is that we would already know the ending: everybody dies. Well now time to connect the dots; as most of you already know, Halo 3's ending featured Master Chief and the Arbiter trying to escape the exploding Halo. They're ship was going through slipspace, but the slipspace portal closed when the ship was halfway through; ripping it in half, Master Chief was on the half that didnt make it through. This obviosly makes it seem like Master Chief died. But if you finished the campaign on legendary and then waited till after the credits were finished, it would show a clip where Master Chief is alive on the half of the ship that didnt make it. He goes into cryo sleep and tells Cortana to wake him when she needs him. It then cuts to a scene showing Master Chief's half of the ship floating towards a large black planet with a glint on the side. Now, at the end of the Halo Reach teaser trailer, the camera zoomed out and showed a view of Reach from space: the planet it showed was the exact same planet they showed in Halo 3's legendary ending. So this implies that the planet Master Chief was floating towards the planet Reach. Soooooo this made me think of two things: either Halo Reach is going to be about Master Chief fighting strange new aliens that may have taken refuge on the glassed and barren planet, and you're trying to find a way off of the planet. My other theory is that you may have gone back in time and you have to save all the other spartans. Or Bungie may have gone with the more simple story and made you play as the other spartans before Reach was glassed, but then what about the Chief.
Ok fine people, the time travel theory isnt correct i get it, but what about the first theory
