Its still only 2 guns just that one handed guns count as half a gun.

In the Halo 2 E3 2003 video we saw the MC with both the Battle Rifle and the dual SMGs so I guess you can have two big weapons or one big and 2 small ...

Woah woah. From what I know, and through everything that I've seen, it's still only 2 guns, no matter how big they are

It's just that you can only dual-wield when you actually have two smaller guns; it's still two guns max though

If you only have needlers then your in trouble. The key to Halo is carrying a variety of weapons for differnt purposes long range or short ragne. Switching from 2 needlers to 1 and grenades gaings you nothing.

For that reasoning I believe you can have more than 2 weapons, but only 2 weapon sets.

By weapon set I mean for example Plasma Pistol and SMG one set. Press Y out pops the Battle Rifle weapon set 2.

Haha, it's weird that this issue never really came up before; the one about how guns will count as 'half-guns' or not.

For now, I'm gonna have a wait-and-see attitude about it

Yeah, that works except for if you only want one of the guns on, say you had a Ppistol (1) and an SMG (2), what if you only wanted the SMG on? if it was your second Dual wielding weapon, what you say wouldn't allow it.

This is where the control issue comes into it, probably the most popular rumour about the controls is that the d-pad (that chunk of plastic in the bottom corner that no one uses) will change what mode you're in, i.e. you press left and you go into single wield mode, press right, you get a dual wield, press up you engage the speed burst and press (or hold) down you toggle sneaking mode!

Thats probably the most efficient way to do it.

The D-Pad (which, lets face it, has no real use outside of beat em ups) makes an excellent selection control.

See Metroid Prime's visor selection and weapon selection via C-Stick for details

if they do use the dpad it better all be toggle or it'll be realy hard to move while ur holding it

I would like that, but even if there wasn't maybe if there was animation making it actually look like ur guy was switching weapons, instead of the gun just turning into ur next weapon.
