I'm shure there is a reasonable explanation for each of my points, and I would be glad to here them, but just hear me out first.

#1: It has been said repeatedly that Elites, not Brutes should be the main enemy of ODST, it would be reasonable if their was a changeover in the middle of the game, as was in Halo 2, but that didn't happen until at least half way through the game.

#2: Truth's super-carrier was the only Covenant ship that broke through the orbital defense grid, and when it jumped into slip-space, I would imagine all enemy units would have been recalled to the ship, so after they fled why are there so many enemies left? It would be perfectly reasonable for one or two jackals to be roaming around on their own, maybe a pack of grunts, or even one or two Brute Chieftans, but not continual Phantom patrols with Banshee and Wraith support.

#3: This is just my opinion, but why waste an entire ODST battalion on one Covenant ship, when you could dedicate them to, oh.....I don't know? Reenforcing (Reinforcing?) the little MAC platforms they have left? Come on.

I still think ODST will be epic like evrything else Bungie makes, but the abbove points kind of bothered me. "Kind of" being the operative phrase.

Mythical Group

There is no greater catharsis than arguing on the Flood.

Okay, two in one. All covenent units were NOT recalled, all left behind were destroyed. Now, Truth sent new reinforcements after the the time of the rupture, which were the brutes.

Hi I'm RT and I like to argue!

1. ODST happens after the Elites separated from the Covenant. I'm not sure I understand what you're saying on this one...

2. That's what an invading force is, dude. Regret just happened to have somewhere else to go, since there were so many humans. He was too high-priority to be so close to danger like that. At least, that's my take on it.

3. Because it had Regret on it. Capturing a Covenant prophet would have been a major victory for the UNSC.

Halo 3: ODST takes places right after the MC goes to Delta Halo. The Elites only rebel later, on in the High Charity level of Halo 2. This actually is a valid plot hole. I may be wrong, but...

actually in the books humans are afraid to get anywhere effin near them being afraid it'll send the covenant into an all out attack mode on them...
but good point about capturing regret

1. All the Elites were recalled to protect Truth, while the Brutes were left behind to wipe up the resistance.

2. Once the enemies realized this was Earth, only Regret left, being paranoid about dying. The rest of the troops were left to capture the remaining territory.

3. Regret was on the ship, and since it was the only ship in the system commanding all the ground forces, it was an important place for the leadership. Taking the carrier would have ended the battle.

No, I think your totally right there. The first act of some form of rebellion was when Tarterus (probably spelled that wrong), threw the Arbiter down the hole after the level Quarantine, but the only true revolt where the Elites split off was on the level High Charity.

Things really heated up between the Brutes and Elites when the entire Elite race was decommissioned from honor gaurd duty after failing to protect Regret from the MC

I actually think you just patched up the plot holes.

I am Katsu Kage, an assassin trained in the art of stealth. I was on a recon mission when I discovered a blue box hidden among some rubble. Once I entered the blue box it had taken me to a land far away. It was strange and fantastic! There I met PatikaVoom, the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen. She showed me this land, then returned with me to the blue box. She called it a TARDIS and seemed to know how to work it. We left together and have been on many adventures, with many more to come!

I got his sarcasm...one person has to implement sarcasm and then you get a pile of terrorist chipmunks crashing your party, not fun at all..

#1: Regret knowing that Truth was masterminding some sort of changover knew that leaving Brutes as opposed to Elites on New Mombassa would be beneficial in the long run.

#2: I'm very sure Regret found the portal along with the location of installation 05 when he visited New Mombassa, obviously it would be a bit hard to dig it up with one ship while 100+ UNSC ships surround it so he jumped - left some Covenant on the ground to hold the position/ investigate the portal further while Regret informed to rest of the Covenant of his findings.

#3: The space battle was over, there was no threat of the MAC guns being boarded. Plus capturing Regret and ONI's alpha site were a pretty big priority. See this

When the Covenant Supercarrier went into a slipspace jump, it destroyed all of the remaining forces, the Covenant troops were not recalled. Also, in the 6 hour period from when you land, and black out, to awakening again, the Elites were outcast, and Truth sent Reinforcements to New Mombasa; those troops were Brutes.

Also, the ODST Battalion was sent to the Covenant Supercarrier since the Prophet of Regret was on it, and he is one of the High Counselors of the Covenant, a very important person.

Doubt it, I'm pretty sure Regrets carrier/ In Amber Clad arrived at installation 05 a couple of days (after eddie currents are accounted for) after they jumped. I don't think the actual changeover had happened yet.

Does anyone read the Halo books anymore? When Linda , Fred , and Will head to the space elevator , all they see/talk about are brutes. Basically , after that slip-space jump all that is left is brutes , all the elites were over at Delta Halo after that jump. The ones who weren't on the ship in time were pretty much the ones you killed.
