I want to get this off on the bat. I am not a hater. I love the Halo series. I even pre-ordered Halo3:ODST
But the storyline could've been better. I would have loved to rather mess up the landing, but as a team. All the ODSTs of our squad, fighting around the city, trying to make contact with the UNSC. We might have droped in the middle of a heavily covie-covered area. Anything but running around looking for clues. Thoughts and comments would be enjoyed be me.

You haven't even played the campaign. We know next to nothing about it. Why don't you reserve judgment until AFTER you've played and FINISHED the ODST campaign.

I love the idea of being completely alone, and against everyone else. There will still be moments when you must play as a squad, and when you're in co-op, you can enjoy the campaign from a squad-perspective; but I am happy that in single player, it's just you, and your gun.

Mizzou 2009-2010 Starting Line-up

Point Guard: Zaire Taylor (Senior)
Guard: J.T. Tiller (Senior)
Forward: Kim English (Sophomore)
Forward: Laurence (Junior)
Forward: Keith Ramsey (Senior)

It'll be great, are you kidding? It's a mystery, but Halo style. You find clues to your missing squad, and as you flashback, you get highly frenzied scenes of play to learn what happened. As you play through these, you start to get more and more information that will lead you to the mysteries of New Mombasa.

Ugh...

First on a BWU.. yeah, I'm cool.

ODST;MYTHIC Screenshot winner! One of the first to get their hands on the mythic map pack.

First off, I love that this game is in a sandbox like area. Free roaming is what I enjoy in my games. So much endless possibilities of ways to approach a battle, or to search the city. Endless campaign play basically. You can search and search for a long long time. Playing it differently, unlike the linear ways of all the other Halo's.

With a squad, you are held back. They alert the enemies, they sway were you go, they mess things up.

And risk the all too easy power rangers references as it becomes more and more apparent that what you are doing easily mimics the color coordinated body suit antics against the forces of evil and their misshapen henchmen (grunts/putties) of a childrens television show?

But in all seriousness, thing's are fine the way they are, allowing you to have disctinctly different missions with distinctly different settings without having you go to far off ring worlds of excedingly diverse topography.

(this is just my idea)
i think you'll eventually regroup with everyone. the whole rumor about your squad dying is just that-- a rumor.

i think after you find all the "flashback items", you'll find all the squad members.

Four shots, four kills, reload, repeat. This is the work of a sniper.

Well, if you do co-op then you will be a squad roaming for clues, if that makes you feel any better.

Also, I love the free roaming too.(I'm a big fan of sandbox games)All I'm saying is that we could've done it as a squad.

-blam!- GTFO OF MY SIGNATURE

I think it will be fine. Why speculate so much?

We're building a better world...all of them, better worlds.

Running around solo looking for clues is not the story. Those are plot points and game play elements. We know almost next to nothing about the story. What we do know is really interesting to me.
