The answer is NO - because the 3 new maps are embedded on the 2nd seperate disc coming with ODST which is basically the whole Halo3 Multiplayer experience and every single map ever made...

The maps are not a download and can only be played from the disc itself, not your halo3 disc as they aren't on it...

"Or saved onto your HDD and run as regular DLC on your copy of Halo 3" is probably what you meant to tag onto the end, since that would really make a lot of sense.

It would be cool if you could take the odst multiplayer disc and download the maps to the hdd.

"Sense" and these forums are not mutually inclusive.

"Dear Bungie.net, we regret being stubborn bastards, we regret coming to this forum, and we most definitely regret that Darth Kooky blew up our raggedy-ass opinion!"

You won't be able to play Citadel, Heretic, and Longshore as they will never become DLC. They are exclusive to the disc (Spell it right!!!) included with ODST. You will be able to play with other people but you won't be able to play those maps...ever! (If you don't get ODST. MIcro$oft is at it again!)
