in his bio it states that he took part in the fall of reach, perhaps he could be one of the silouheted figuers in the poster.

The problem with this statement is that the game will most likely not center around marines, but most likely about the referenced Spartan-IIs from the teaser-trailer. Even if he would've been active during the fall of Reach and stationed on the planet of Reach the chances would've still been recently slim to have encountered Spartan-IIs. Especially if it will be based upon The Fall of Reach novel in which Buck had not been featured.

Check Out my FileShare.
I was once on Bungie Faves. (Feb.7-15)
I'd like to know why I can't see the signatures of others of myself on the forum. I have made favs once, 7777 campaign kills, and I helped bring modders down when they were at their strongest

As far as everyone knows Buck and the Halo 3 ODST idea was not thought of when the book came out.

I had a dream that I was king, I woke up still king.

Buck was in Contact Harvest I believe. But this may be an entirely different person cause I can't remember if Buck lost a limb or not in the book.

Fact is that we have to look at the Halo story from a canonical point of view instead of a RL point of view. If we would take that as our POV all the things introduced during Halo 2 and Halo 3 would canonically not exist during evering pre-battle for earth, whilst many things did.

Maybe the Buck in ODST has a fake leg then?

i think it's mainly focused on spartans, but it's possible.
