From what i have read New Mombassa is going to be a some-what open city. Do you think there will be warthogs and mongooses-gesse-whatever, scatterd across the city to jump in and get around the city quicker? i just thought it would be interesting to discuss.

My Snipe Gets More Head Than You!!

good topic, even better question

yes on the gameplay trailer you see two ODSTs on a mongoose and the Warthog is the basic vehicle in the Halo trilogy plus if it didn't have vehicles then it'd be pretty hard to quickly kill Brute patrols without losing all your stamina and hp

Plus in trailer a tank is shooting a phantom.
Just like to put that out there =)

i saw that too. but this seem to be part of the day time, missions. were you are set in a certain situation. What i am wondering is... that if you are "the rookie" walking around at night, and you happen upon a dammaged but working vehicle to use in the "open city".

From what I saw from the trailer there were two guys riding on a mongoose in the night time city. So for there we know there will be a vehical. But I believe there will be some city parts that will be open enough for a vehical to pass through. If I spell vehical wrong i'm sorry summer gets to my head lol.

well like i said earlier in the trailer you see two ODSTs on a mongoose this is at night time so i'd assume you'd at least get mongooses but i doubt you'd see too many of the other vehicles as they would have all been destroyed in the earlier battle

The Rookie actually has a motorcycle, like the one in GTA.

Most likely summer, because age isn't an excuse for bad spelling. (That comes from an ACTUAL twelve year old, so there.)
Im not sure if this has any significance, but in the demo we see that the Bungie rep is very careful to avoid the police car we see that looks intact. I would bet that we might be using some civilian vehicles. Well, its possible at least.

In the IGN interview, they said that they will be available in the game eventually.

You mean Police Cars might be a drivable vehical?!

  • 06.08.2009 9:49 AM PDT

maybe a civilian hog, i can't see just some fully armored warthog sitting in the middle of the street.
