The Limited version comes with an extra controller for $40 instead of $50, so I think it's worth it.

I need a new controller, so I'm gonna get the Collector's Pack if I can order it online in Canada. That's already a lot of "ifs". If I can't do this, I'll just order the normal version online and a new, separate controller.

I will just get the regular edition,(If I even get it at all), I really don't need another controller.

I might get the limited edition because I need a new controller, but the price is a bit of a rip off if that's all the limited edition comes with.

how is it a rip-off?

$60 for the game, and $40-$50 for the controller.

that sounds fair to me.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

I don't need another controller so I will take the plain Jayne edition please.

correct me if I am wrong but...

I think the regular edition just come with the game and 3 new maps for halo 3 (longshore...etc.)
and
I think the special edition comes with the maps, the controller, and a invite to the beta testing of halo reach.

Please do correct me if I am wrong.

Sounds like a bunch of Justin Bieber wannabes in here. I bet you all wear skinny jeans too.

I already pre-ordered the regular edition.
And by the way, I believe you mean Collectors Edition.

I'll get the regular edition.

Because, quite frankly, I don't need an extra controller. I've got about 8 controllers as it is. And where I live, it's not really "limited edition".

I mean, it's the price of a game and a controller here. I can get the same controller (minus the artwork) for the same price here as they ask in the Limited Edition.

And since it's not extra content and just something minor that I'll forget about after a few months... It's not worth the extra cash.

Extra content? I'll pay extra money for that.

Extra crap that I won't use or has the possibility of easily being ruined? I'll pass. I don't need figurines, helmets, cards, patches, etcetera. But, if you throw in an extra map, extra skin, something special IN GAME that only limited editions have...

Well, I'll shell out extra cash for that any day.

Limited Edition for $150.

I want a new controller anyways.

  • 08.05.2009 3:38 PM PDT

Regular, I don't have that kind of money to get the LE game.

I'm buying a used regular copy once the price has dropped to what I feel this game is worth. I'm also buying used because that way Microsoft and Bungie get no money.

I play games online for fun not to preserve a K/D ratio or stats.

I have no need for an extra controller, so it's the regular edition for me.

Marinade...

Do you not understand economics what-so-ever?

With a regular USED copy... Bungie and Microsoft already got their money for the game. They got it long before you ever got the used copy.

Yes I understand quite well.

They got money from somebody else buying and enjoying the game. That is correct. However that person then sold the game back to EB games. When I purchase the game, all of the money from my purchase would go to EB. Had I opted to buy a new copy of the game, Microsoft, and Bungie would get more money, than if I were to buy a used copy.

So yes they already got money for the game. But none of it came from the sale of the game to me.

After hours of struggle a victor was decided. As the victor turns to him, too tired to fight more, and the wise old man begins his climb on another hill far above the hill he recently occupied. The victor is left bewildered and lacks the energy to climb further. The wise man and the older wise man were now in their rightful places.

I'm against most "limited edition" games. ODSTs' is alright but just in general like MW2 with the "night vision goggles". Just seems silly.

I understand that. Do you not understand how it's different from buying a new copy?
