I was actually thinking about that. Modded controllers own in COD, and I didn't want that to happen to Halo.

could you please elaborate on modded controllers. im unaware of their existance, and why would it help with the pistol?

93% of statistics are lies. Formerly Xfire Grunt. Unfortunately, you can't change the WLID for your BNET account, so I had to create an alternate account. My other WLID was spam city (and it was my e-mail account too).

Modded controllers allow you to fire as fast as is electronically possible (or as good as the controller maker can get it). Basically it would be like an instant-kill on most enemies, but the clip would be gone in 1s or so.

It doesn't work in Halo 3 because each gun has a ROF built in, but it works in COD because some guns fire as fast as you pull the trigger.

Drink more Coffee!
I'm the Fun Assassin. Boo.

Let 'em use them. They'll waste all the ammo on one enemy and then be screwed.

Because the new pistol fires ONLY if you pull the trigger

don't all hand-held firearms fire when you pull the trigger?

but i get what you mean.

and why even use a modded controller?

rely on your own skills for once, dang...

Exactly. Why waste 8 shots on an enemy when you can take them down with one precise and well placed shot?

Actually modded just means modified. So if u have it spray painted or the LEDs changed, technically it's modded

1) Perfect balance is not necessary for a single player and co-op ONLY game.

2) Bungie has already thought of this. All semi-automatic weapons since Halo 1 have had a realistic cap on their rate of fire (<240 RPM). The original Pistol had this. We are not talking about the amatuers that made Call of Duty 4. Bungie thinks of everything.

3) Even if there is no ROF cap, the SMG-like reticle climb that has been added to this new version of the pistol (seen here at the 0:35 mark) would make headshots near-impossible if you used a modded controller. That is the main strength of the pistol in the first place!
