This is the best idea ever! I really really want to see this in Halo: Reach

Ever? Better than sliced bread? I'm flattered.

Even better than sliced bread that regenerates.

Or they can make like brutes or grunts or something play with you. Or program them to
guard a flag, door or something.

Side note: What happened to the bots that were supposed be placed in in september last
year?
although when you put the bots in maps you make, they wont have paths and run into walls. (but then again gow did it... wait, no they didn't)

I don't really know how that would effect gameplay, but it would be interesting to see it in action. It'd be like combining Halo 3 multiplayer with Firefight.

it doese'nt look nextgen , looks good but not nextgen
If by next-gen you mean crappy, dark and colorless, I agree. It doesnt look next-gen at all.

I like the idea.

I would also love to have the ability to edit these items. Something i didn't like about the Man cannons in H3 Forge was that you couldn't edit the angle, and the strength.

Sorry for the delay on this response, i forgot that i made this thread. Anyhow, mancannons and grav lifts would be awesome with a tweaking factor. Imagine being able to make the cannon on Valhalla send you across the map? Would wouldn't have to build your map around the power of the mancannon and instead adjust the power of the mancannon to suit your map. Great idea BTE.

ya know, im proud to be an inverted player, its like we're a rare breed or something

Do NOT send me Recruitment Letters, doing so will get you blocked faster than you can say "Huh?"

This would be amazing. I would pay right now for a forge that could do the things said in this thread.

I would like to see it, but you have to be careful about what kind of power you give the internet. People will think of a million different ways to make something resemble pr0nz. It would have to be limited, but it would be great to have it implemented.

I would love this to be a new forge addition, this and bots.

but they should have it so that if you were to place a pelecan you could preset the track yourself like bring it in on a entrance vector and have it land to pick up troops and fly around the map with people inside and if it is destroyed you could set the ammount of times between a new pelecan being sent in. and also they should have the reckage from explosions and stuff stay for the remainder of the round that way it seems a little more realistic and it could be good for machinima purposes.

Yeah why not - but you wouldn't even need to make it a pelican. If you made a millenium falcon out of the "legos" in forge, then you could have that making laps.

Well I wouldn't be expecting that XD. But openable gates and activation pads that could do simple stuff all over the map would be cool.

Great idea. I would totally make a map of Hogwarts and have the moving staircases. lol. (sorry, watched OOTP today.)

That would be incredible. At this point, with all of the great ideas spawned from the heads of forum-goers, not making a huge Forge update for Reach is out of the question. It might be hard to implement all these ideas, but this one, in particular, is incredible.

I'd love to be able to put things like the train from Terminal on maps. The element of randomness was absent from Halo 3, and was one of the things that made Terminal so fun to play on. Even small, aesthetic things would be nice to have, like the seagulls on Last Resort. It would make Forge much more interesting to mess around with. Great idea!

Yeah - simple stuff like that i think is a total possibilty and not too drastic of a privilege for us. I have a feeling we'll have those in Reach no matter what.

Haters are going to hate.
Praisers are going to praise.

The Bungie Forums are what keeps my mind sharp and my fingers active, between writing my own movie scripts, drawing, and studying industrial design. At the moment I'm working on miniatures for a short movie that I'll hopefully be able to film once I've saved up for a camera... That's me, with the mug, trying to have a conversation with Konoko.

All I want is Singleplayer Forge, but making it a bit more detailed wouldnt hurt.
