here is the thing.. bungie has always kept there fiction close to reality to make it beliveable..
the MAC cannons use a system we use today..
the spartan armor is an anciant idea infact weve been working on it in real life..
they keep it with in beliveable reach so people can relate to it..
in order for time travle to work there has to be a time loop.. meaning you will be affected by time travle before any one has time travled yet and then the sence of time is lost and it is hard to tell a story that dosent follow a strait time line..
The MAC Cannons, okay.
Spartan armor is a no. What your seeing is not even close. Now, I'm not saying at Area 51 they aren't working on something similar to it, but the general public has no clue about this.
As for your theory on time travel, if you go back in time, you don't know it because you're back in time. The time loop you speak of does not have to have a loss of time. When the Time Loop breaks, it erases the memory of those who were affected by it. Their memory resets.
Deja Vu is also a clue that a time lapped had happened. Maybe if we play in Flashbacks, MC is experiencing Deja Vu...

Siting wikipedia as your source of knowledge removes your credibility, especially on things such as time travel. The problem with time travel is that it follows two distinctive models, a time loop and a linear time line. Different authors and scientists have different takes on each model. Either way you want to play it, there is no way to explain it completely, this is why it does not fit into the Halo universe, it cannot be explained nor justified.
FYI powered exo skeltons are not a new idea, they have been researched since the late 80's in reality and used in science fiction since the early 80's. Yes they are not on par with what you have in Halo, however Halo takes place five hundred years in the future. Again, the advancements in Halo are believable, time travel is not.
