Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

Wikipedia is the greatest encyclopedia. That's the brilliance. It allows different authors to put their thoughts together and create the most information possible. You lose all credibility for not even knowing how powerful wikipedia is.

Your joking right? I'll certainly acknowledge that it is a great place for gathering info, but the fact that all info is publically contributed to the site, meaning there is no way to verify fact behind anything other than to do the research yourself.

In the case of this arguement you are siting a source that is built on many things, including opinion. Because we are arguing over a theory siting such a loose source takes the air out of your balloon.

If you brought it up as a way to introduce another theory then it would make sense, but in the context you used it you are correcting someone based on the opinion of another, hardly enough for a solid counter arguement. Now if you stated the author of said theory it would be more credible, but you sited the gathering place of unverified science.

"Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of all those who threaten them."

It is possible. Has anyone ever experienced traveling back in time? Didn't think so.

The Halo series are SCI-FI games... Science-Fiction... that means they(Bungie) can do whatever they want. Since, there are no aliens called the Covenant, no Master Chief, no UNSC, no Reach, no nothing(Excpet Earth), Bungie can do what they want.

Maybe they have a different idea of time-traveling than the rest of us. Don't throw out any theory's until the game comes out.

EDIT: Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean it can't happen. A lot of -blam!- I don't like happens...

Flame Suit On [Off]

Hit me with your best shot...

Well let's see problems with it

Star is a different size and/or temperature.
All of Halo canon would be wiped out. Which would be horribly stupid, and I don't know about you, but I don't think Bungie is stupid.
Cortana and the Chief should know better than to mess with the past considering the favorable outcome they got.

I'd love to be a 10 year old and tell my mom I'm going on an adventure out into the world catching Pokemon, with her full support. Never mind the fact that there are rapists, criminals, and murders out there, or the fact that I may get killed by a Pokemon.

Luckily I have Pikachu.

Master Chief hops in a warthog, drives 88mph and then the flux capacitor starts fluxing, he is sent back to 1955, sings at a high school dance, then heads back to the future to reach. Its all in the trailer.

If chief traveled back in time, the whole entire halo series woulds be screwed up. I dont think bungie would want to screw up the halo series. Plus itd be one the worst plot twists ever.

Sure, sure, it's possible. Too bad the suns are different colors.

Good observation, I didn't notice that. If a star were to change color, it means that billions of years have passed, and this completely discredits the time travel theory, unless Reach happened to be inhabited billions of years in the past.

Actually, if you think about it, Slipspace (essentially a wormhole), allows one to travel through space-time, so it could be that MC did travel through time, either forward or backwards, he just didn't end up at Reach.

I do not agree with the time travel theory because it is simply too cliché of a plot device. Surely Bungie could come up with something better than that.

One more thing: MC doesn't have a DeLorean with a flux capacitor, so he can't time travel.
