Not just that, but other fan favorites that didn't make it into Halo 3. I would personally love to see some Halo: CE and Halo 2 maps, even if they're remakes.

What say you?

Blood gulch, as fun as it was, wasn't the most balanced map. Maybe a form of it, like a coag.

  • 06.08.2009 12:24 PM PDT

i heard there was a second disc that holds al the maps from halo 1, 2, 3, and the three new ones which are Heretic, Citadel, and Longshore

with such a ridiculously general statement, anything is possible.

كل نفس ذائقة الموت

I think BG/Coag was balanced in that it was mostly symmetrical. I think what most people dreaded was the fact that the outcome of the game was usually decided by the success of your team in the first couple of minutes of the game. Even that was only true for Gulch Wars for the most part. In fact, Coag lead to some of the most balanced and intense CTF games of all the maps in Halo 2.

Most importantly, BG/Coag possessed a unique style of gameplay that has never been reproduced in Halo 3. I think that's a big part of what most people miss.

I think they could bring back BG/Coag in Halo: Reach if they wanted to. The question is whether or not Bungie's willing to accept the error they made by not including it in Halo 3. By all the evidence I've seen so far it does not look like Bungie recognizes their error. Certainly they had "reasons" why they chose not to include it in H3. It does not appear they've been able to see beyond their original line of reasoning despite the overwhelming feedback from the community.

The second disc that comes with ODST comes with all Halo 3 maps plus Heretic, Citadel, and Longshore.

Send me a PM of your email and I'll get you a lockerz invite. 100% legit Thx CarloMorris for pic.

Banshee Master

Absolute Annihilation

Maybe a form of it, like Valhalla. Since this game won't have Halos at all it wouldn't make much sense to have the original.

Its completely possible that they might, I mean this is coming out in 2010 so they could be planning on increasing the max size of teams. There are other games that are planned for the 360 that are supposed to be 60 v 60 such as Huxley. So we just have to wait and see. Personally I would love to see the great gameplay from Halo 3 with some improvements and larger teams possible.

I'd rather have a 8v8 game with LESS LAG than H3 than a game with more than 50 persons and have none of my shots register...

It really depends on what kind of FPS game it will be. If it's anything like Halo 1, 2, or 3, It's safe to assume that Blood Gulch/Coagulation will be introduced into Halo: Reach

If it isn't like the previous Halo games, I'm pretty sure it won't be coming back.

Blahh.

I would love to see some Damnation, Beaver Creek (which i think would play nice in H3 if made correctly), Hang em(even though H2 remake was bogus) and of course some Blood Gulch.

"We sleep peaceably in our beds, because rough men stand ready to visit violence upon those that wish to do us harm."

I hope so...

Check out the group, Planet Reach and talk about Bungie's next game without the annoyance of the public forum. Oh and it's nice there too.

You thought you had lag, it took Jesus 3 days to re-spawn.

I fail to see the reason behind the BG obsession....either way, I'd prefer new maps over remakes any day.

  • 06.08.2009 3:07 PM PDT

As long as there are new maps I'll be happy.

Coagulation not in halo 3 was a crime, it is in every other game (even halo wars) and it is the greatested map ever.

It simply doesn't work with Halo 3 however. There is a poor Vehicle Balance in the game, either you don't have the anti-vehicle weapons and thus you get murdered unless you posesse great finesse, your enemies are idiots, or you have great team work, or you have the anti vehicle weapons, in which case all vehicular combat grinds to a hault until you run out of ammo or until they kill you for it.

They can never really coexist peacefully. Now look at what Bloodgultch would look like with Halo 3. A super flat map where snipers can spawn camp you while warthogs circle around your base?

What suprises me the most is often the people who Hate Standoff say they would actually prefer Bloodgultch.

Hahaha true that

I hope so but I think bungie wouldn't do that since we are not on the Halo rings anymore and since BG/Coag was on Halo I doubt it will be there.
I just hope I am wrong.
