try dual wielding while u already have heavy armor on you , your arm would get tired insantly

Best Song ever: You Cant Quit Me Baby by Queens of the Stone Age

Also Guns and Roses are the biggest load of pish-posh ever

This seems a little pointless.

This is just a guess, but ODST's arent as strong as Spartans (obviously). Perhaps the weight of all the equipment they carry is all too much to controll the recoil of two guns (say, two SMG's)

  • 06.08.2009 12:45 PM PDT

Give her two 26th century SMGs... Firing at the same time, and make her aim at a giant gorilla moving right to left...

Ya, that's what I thought.

I will be there when Bungie takes over the world.

Xbox Live Gamertag= Marauder 01

A 3 year old could fire that little toy. Fire two real guns at the same time.

  • 06.08.2009 12:48 PM PDT

It's not about strength, its about co-ordination and dexterity. Sure, most people could hold, and even fire two pistols for a while. Hell, your average infantryman could probably do the same with a polymer and titanium weapon (which the SMG is probably constructed of). But accurately? No. A normal human being doesn't have the dexterity to compensate for recoil from two weapons at once- hence sticking with one. Chief has an AI running alongside his brain to let him use two at once, and the dexterity of someone who's been learning how to fight since the age of six- ODST's may be the next best thing, but they wouldn't be able to accurately fire two 50 caliber pistols at once, let alone a pair of front heavy sub machine guns.

I am flatterd that you botherd to look at my signature.

this is why odsts do not deul wield.. accuracy.. ODST's are marines no matter what kind of marine you are you are a rifleman first..hell the cooks are rifleman..

the only reson why chief dose it is cause his mark VI has an adnvannced targeting system that alows him too do it with accuracy...

it would be more trouble than it's worth for an ODST.

Formally Rogue Spartan

The ODST armour cannot smart link two weapons at once unlike the mark 5. It would be illogical to hold two weapons if the ammo count and reticule of one is not displayed. How many topics must I post this in before people realise.

Yes, and THIS GUY can fire two .50AE's at the same time.

The point is, you would have no accuracy or muzzle control whatsoever.

Accuracy is very hard when dual wielding. Especially when your target is a sprinting space monkey.

Two machine guns at once

If it was practical to dual wield the military would. ALSO

False, False, and just for overkill False.

In the second video you can see that once he starts firing at a somewhat fast rate he misses more than half of his shots, and he is alternating looking down the sights of each weapon.

You do realize there is about 200 of these threads on Bungie right now? It's reached epic complaint level and is slowly proceeding to become a topic to use when you just want comments. Someone should make an official dual wielding topic.

Even in that vid, the guy was supporting the weapons under his arms, and had a leg back to support the recoil.

Exactly. This is why ODST's shouldn't dual wield. That and my previous comment ^^^

Obviously...he had zero accuracy and he was almost knocked off his feet, showing the impracticality of it.

I said it once and I'll say it again. Jesus Christ that's scary.
