You know how the halo 3 armor had a descripion on it. And Reach is when there were multiple and different spartans. So the spartans in reach could have the same or similar armor variants like in halo 3. The bungie team should make the descriptions on the different armor actually work in halo reach at campaign and mutliplayer with the armor to be unlockable.

Drop your thoughts please :]

and how!

I would like to see armors that have slight effects, but nothing overpowering like doubling the amount of damage you can take or having a powerful cloak or anything like that.

that would be cool.
like maybe with the sniper helment variant, you could have x2 zoom added to your scopes, so instead of a sniper have x4, you could have x6

well i wanted to see the armor to be used as special perks and the combinations of armor can coordinate to your fighting style.

Kinda like perks, and the only way to gain those perks is the swap armor combinations? Sounds interesting, but I agree with x MibZ x they should small incremental boosts, nothing to drastic.

For example the scout armor is for stealth and that armor should obtain that effect. Wearing the whole outfitt of scout would give you 100% more steath but only wearing one or two pieces of scout would give you a smaller percent of stealth. Lets say the Helmet and the body give a chunk more of the effect and the shoulders give a small effect. So a combination of CQB and Scout would make you steathy and better mobility.

I was thinking that one complete set of armor will focus on one perk and combining different armor together can improve your chacter so people wont wear the armor for show but for gameplay.

Just as long as those specific armor pieces had a specific purpose instead of just *Stealth 25%* For the sake of argument let's say the stealth portions of the leg would... make you invisible to radar even while your running. And so on.

If it were to be stealth then lets say you can sneek around faster than normal. So only wearing lets say the one shoulder of scout and that piece gives you a smaller rate of stealthyness

Well yeah. Each different complete set of armor would focus on one specific perk and with the allowance to combine the armors together can coordinate to your fighting style

The Forum Ninjas are asleep.

okay if this were to work it would have to be non unlockables due to halos matchmaking pocesses.

  • 06.08.2009 2:47 PM PDT

Nah the armors should be unlockable by leveling up
