So, are gameplay-related questions for the mythic topic and submission/info related questions for this one, then? There's a lot of links that we have to deal with for this contest =/, so I think it's usually easier just to comment on this thread.
There are three links you need to worry about. I'd hope that isn't too many for you to deal with. In the future, use them accordingly please.
At any rate, I've managed to get to the scarab 2-3 times. One of the times, I used the turret only to have it implode on itself, literally. I guess the missile fired and instantly hit the marine standing next to me, or something. Bogus. Also, how is jumping on the scarab a safer route? I spent an hour practicing this technique, and time after time the scarab moved away and I died as the fall-killing distance is right above the ground if you jump off the crane. How freaking annoying. Is there any real way to guarantee a safe landing on the scarab?
Also, is driving under the scarab with a rocket wielding marine a viable technique? I tried this a few times and I was boarding the scarab at a much more frequent rate. Plus, there was usually a grunt on the bottom level for me to restore my shields on and for me to pick up a plasma pistol if I needed it. Though, if you are going to do this technique, you should definitely BR down the turret-grunts from on top the crane first.
The Scarab always follows the same pattern when it decends and walks over to whichever crane you are closest too. When it does this, it initially stands directly under the crane. Too far under to back up in time for you to miss the landing. However, if you wait too long to board the machine, it will position itself just a tad further away. Far enough that when you try to board, it will back away from you.
