What all you rich or more likely stupid ass tools need to do is stop bashing people with differing opinions.

Well what you need to do is stop generalizing people who have different opinions than you as "rich" or "stupid". I'm quite neither, and I've not once bashed anyone whose opinion differed from mine. If you want people to respect your opinion, you need to learn to respect theirs.

I can "bash" on Bungie about the price all I want. Nothing you can say can stop me. I honestly think it's retarded.

Halo 3: ODST is an expansion pack. It only has a 3-5 hours campaign. Bungie has told me that. Also Firefight is a new mode. So I'm paying 60 bucks for these two things and 3 maps...

I don't understand why Bungie cannot just sell the first disk. The second disk is completely useless to me. I have Halo 3 and all the map packs up to date. Bungie decides to include everything that I bought and sell it to me again. And it's not just me. It's thousands of people. So now I pay 60 dollars for this bull -blam!- expansion pack. Those map packs costed me 2400 microsoft points.

Bungie is greedy.
Wrong. First, they CAN stop you, via the Banhammer. Second, you're also buying the Halo: Reach beta. Third, they expanded the campaign. Fourth, you're buying 1000 GS. Fifth, you're buying Recon. Sixth, the Maps come on Disk 2. Seven7h, it will also allow someone with a damaged disk that won't load maps to play them. So, your argument is fail.
Bungie can stop me. You on the otherhand cannot and that was directed towards to OP for trying to make an argument.

Halo 3 Beta free. Completely free. You don't pay to be in a beta.

Okay. Yah. 3-5 hours worth of campaign. That's not worth a 60 dollar price tag.

You don't buy achievements. Those come with a game and you unlock them.

I'm not buying recon. It's an armor permutation inside a game that I must unlock. I'm not even going to unlock it actually.

Okay... why am I paying for something I already have? The only new things are the 3 new maps... why couldn't those just be put on the first disk so I'm not paying for 3 map packs that I already payed for and halo 3 multiplayer that I've already bought for them.

You're arguement blows. You're a Bungie fanboy. No matter what I say you will continue to follow Bungie with blind devotion. Have fun with your life. I hope you don't do the same thing in the real world when you get there. You act like your younger than eighteen but I could be wrong and you're just childish.

Nobody's going to ban him for disagreeing with them. This is a forum idiot. You're supposed to talk about things here. People are going to have differing opinions. Second, you're not buying Halo: Reach Beta. It's a "free" gift. Third, yes, they expanded the campaign. A whopping 6 hours. So, I'm supposed to pay 60 dollars for a 6 hour campaign? Fourth...just fail. Fifth, fail again. Sixth, everybody who's anybody has the maps already. Seventh, I suppose, but by the time ODST comes out, Halo 3 will be dirt cheap. So, your arguement(s) fail.

1. Microsft ARE responsible for the pricing.

I'm sorry to say even though your logic is undeniable people will still make sad threads whining about it. We try to explain it to them but they simply don't get it.
Every time I explain why I am upset about the pricing, I get a response like this:

"OmG StFU, bUngiE aRe TEH gREaTeST, i'D bY IT iF iT wAs $250!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Microsoft decides the price dependent on the amount of content. Much of the content found in Halo 3: ODST is already owned by many. So Bungie is responsible for the pricing for putting content that it's loyal, and sometimes brainwashed, fans have already bought causing the price to be $60 dollars. I wish good luck to Bungie. It would be hard to sleep for me if I knew I ripped off thousands of people.

True... but it's only human nature to get pissed about getting ripped off and to express one's feelings.

  • 06.08.2009 6:00 PM PDT

Welcome to the town of "Diligence." I'm Mayor Due.

Actually, the second disc is kind of useless to anyone with the content already. The maps should be available over live to the previous owners.

As far as ODST goes, is it enough to warrant the price of a full game? I don't know, I hope so and I'll still spend the money.

Good arguments people!

Wow, I bet you're the kid who got bullied at school for being idiotic.

In any of the Halo games, have you yet been allowed to roam freely around New Mombasa? Have you been allowed to play as an ODST with a completely different story that has little or nothing to do with Master Chief? Are you a complete and utter buffoon?

Answers are no, no, yes, if you're too retarded to think, by the way.

@PFDRINSTR : Not really. The Halo Wars DLC had very little content and was 800 points. Gears of War 2's Combustible Map Pack isn't alot of content and is 800. Microsoft usually price DLC at 800 and retail games at retail price.

You may have to pay to be in a beta, depending on the Beta. It was extended FROM 3-5 hours to 4-6! They may have worked Achievements into the price. You are buying the ability to get it. here, for you:

Campaign: $20 USD
Firefight: $20
MMP 2: $10
Beta: $5
All Achievements, including Recon earning vidmasters: $5.

Total: $60.
Being pwned? Priceless.
