Lots of people are getting angry at Bungie for the $59.99 price of Halo 3: ODST.
The Short, Sweet, and Simple Answer
Bungie has no say when it comes to price of the game.
Microsoft does all the pricing. They decide the price.
Blame Microsoft.
Bungie even said that if they could price the game, they would make it around $40.00!
(I actually have no problem with the price. I think it will be worth it).
Typical. "Oh, it's not us that wants to charge exorbitant fees for our products, it's the company that we bought our freedom from!
Ignorant much?
I speak the tru7h. Bungie has no rights when it comes to pricing.
"Oh, hey, guys! We made enough profits from Halo 3 to buy our freedom back from Microsoft!"
"Erm... yeah, sorry, guys. We don't want to charge for this map pack, but you know, Microsoft and all.."
"Sorry that this expansion pack is going to cost as much as a full game. It's Microsoft.."
Please tell me how that makes sense.
Expansion packs are supposed to cost a decent amount of money. Take Dawn of War: Dark Crusade for example. It cost the same as the original because it had a lot of content.
ODST comes with almost everything Halo 3 has and more. Again if it's too much for you, don't get it.
The point is that they claim "Microsoft sets the pricing". Why not own up to the fact that your company is greedy?
