What the title means is that, will the characters in the game have unique stuff and abilities that other Spartans don't? For Example: Let's say you're Kelly.. will she be able to run faster than the other spartans? Or if you're Linda.. will she spawn with a sniper rifle while everybody else spawns with assault rifles? That's just a thought that I had in my head. Please post and discuss

maybe in campaign, but that would be an unfair advantage in multiplayer, not saying it wouldn't be a sweet thing to have, but i doubt it will happen

honestly, i think it would be a very fun thing to try. i just don't think the BR guys want all the "n00bs" who aren't "MLG Pr0" to spawn with rockets and Splasers while they start with their BR. Catch me?

The balancing would be difficult, and it might make the game into a fast Unreal Tournament kind of game - I wouldn't like that. The two games do bear specific similarities including pace, but somehow Halo seems more organised and thoughtful/tactical.

That said, Reach's multiplayer might be altered slightly with the option for third-person, or faction-based teams over long periods of point-capture? A sort of Territories game with an appointed team-leader and a less frivolous and frantic rush to the first base.

Sooo.... is that a yes or no? But I get what you're saying

A convoluted 'yes' - it would work if implemented properly and subtly with only the smallest enjoyable effect on the overall multiplayer experience. I'd hate to see Halo turn into some sort of first-person Street Fighter with special moves and functions.

I agree with you
