This game is far from being a "confirmed FPS."
Sure they "said" it in the weekly update.
But this is Bungie. And their reply was a bit sarcastic.
Plus, the whole hiring of GRAW, RSV2 squad based thing.
Third person sounds promising.

I would not be surprised if this game takes a different approach.
I might even look forward to it.

Ugh...

First on a BWU.. yeah, I'm cool.

ODST;MYTHIC Screenshot winner! One of the first to get their hands on the mythic map pack.

No, it is confirmed.

Edit: Do you really think Bungie would screw themselves over by making some different type of Game. 3rd person is just horrible, we don't want Gears. Any MMORPGRTS is just dumb. They would lose a lot of business that way.

I think Bungie will be playing it safe, keeping it somewhat similar to Halo 3, as in FPS, probably the same engine too.

And I see where you and many others and even myself are coming from.
If it works, don't fix it.
But a healthy but risky approach might be what we need.

Dude I don't care and my grammer is perfect.I used "Big", as you recall it to mak is specific."to not do...",is incorrect beause "do" is present tense/perfect(or future) when it was a past tense.

Bungie sometimes (okay, always) gives cryptic responses, but they never tell a blatant lie. Sometimes they promise things that don't make it, but these things were at least at one point planned. Given that there's only around 1-2 years to release, they're not going to make a major change like change the genre like they did with halo:CE.

Like I said.
If it works, don't fix it.
But we all need some change.

You never know.
Although maybe this is the wrong place and the wrong time.
3rd person does change gameplay dramtically.

MMORPGRTS? That sounds so bad that I can't explain it in text.

I'm pretty sure that when Bungie confirmes something in their weekely update, its true.

Also known as Kingdom Under Fire 2, where the developers are severely overestimating how dedicated their fanbase is. They are essentially going to charge for multiplayer RTS gameplay. Given the choice of playing KUF2 and paying £15 a month extra or Halo Wars for free, i think i'll stick with Halo Wars.
